I like to think when Aether disappeared one of the first things Arlecchino thought was, “Lyney is going to be so mad at me.” Meanwhile Lauma and Nefer are panicking over who’s going to tell Paimon the one time she was brave, her personal code red happened.

At some level, it has to be stressful working for Aether. Not because it’s difficult, but because you’re running the risk of being the group that got Teyvat’s hero killed. The world would hear Natlan mourn. They named their lad “Hope” and you killed em. That’s your legacy. Fontaine would rain for ages and Inazuma would relapse. A Lantern Rite would happen in his honor, and Sumeru would bloom a new kind of flower. Meanwhile I don’t think you could ever set foot in Mondstadt again. Aether cannot die on someone else’s watch. It has to be his own for the sake of everyone 😅
