BLICKWINKEL. The title of our concert last night, with two pieces by living composers and a heck load of permutations. I'll miss working together! (at Ev. Kirche Brasselsberg) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx9NRbBhUC8/?igshid=qrb4t974x7qm
If you’re European, in a couple of weeks you will be denied any and all access to fandom contents on Tumblr and everywhere else on the internet. Here’s why.
On June, 20th the JURI of European Parliament approved of the articles 11 and 13 of the new Copyright Law. These articles are also known as the “Link Tax” and the “Censorship Machines” articles.
Articles 13 in particular forces every internet platform to filter all the contents we upload online, ending once and for all the fandom culture. Which means you won’t be able to upload any type of fandom works like fan arts, fan fictions, gif sets from your favourite films and series, edits, because it’s all copyrighted material. And you won’t also be able to share, enjoy or download other’s contents, because the use of links will be completely restricted.
But not everything’s lost yet. There’s another round of voting scheduled for the early days of July.
What you can do now to save our internet, is to share these informations with all of your family members and friends, and to ask to your MEP (the members of the European Parliament from your country) to vote NO at the next round, to vote against articles 11 and 13.
Here you can find more news and all the details to contact your MEP:

Also, sign and share this petition:

We have just a couple of weeks to stop this complete madness, don’t let them dictating the way we enjoy our internet.
#SaveYourInternet now!
It’s funny how y'all will reblog any and all US things but when whole Europe might lose access to internet then everything is quiet.
Are you fucking serious? Is this really happening? I’m European and I didn’t know a single thing about this

PLEASE help share this as someone who lives in Europe I don’t want to see the internet change forever
As a Romanian, the teenagers in my country are freaking out over this. The last time I watched the news, our government was still arguing about choosing a new representant in the Parliament and no one was addressing Article 13.
I don’t care where are you from, there are lots of European content creators so please reblog this. I can’t believe it only has 180 000 notes.
This is very important. If you’re in EU, please spread the word and try to stop these two articles.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SPREAD THE WORD AND DO SOMETHING, IF ARTICLE 11 AND 13 GET APRROVED, DAYS ARE NUMBERED FOR ARTISTS LIKE ME WHO DO MOSTLY FANART. PLEASE!!!
Spread this like crazy! No one should be denied their web content for any reason
I enjoy writing music as a hobby, but I feel that I don't understand how to use keys. How the key should shape, guide or restrict compositional choices. Unfortunately I can't find the right words for a successful web search; do you think you could suggest appropriate terms?
if you’re thinking things like “this piece wouldn’t work in D major i have to use Bb major it’s the wrong character” that’s Very bullshit, even if you have perfect pitch you can get the same feeling from any key. tbh if someone says “Bb to me sounds military and F sounds like nature” they’re probably just thinking of a Bb major sousa march and Beethoven symphony 6
the key signatures are informed by what instruments you are writing for. D, G and A major for example are comfortable keys for strings. B flat, E flat and F (sounding) for the brass. Piano writing is a bit different, but keys with lots of black notes are easier to play. Other reasons to consider the key include the range of an instrument. If the lowest note of a flute is C, it's not optimal to write in B major for it.
The timbre of an instrument also gives character to a piece. If you have a string orchestra playing in G or D major, it will sound more resonant than in D flat or G flat, simply because there will be more sympathetic vibration and possibly open strings in the former keys. So yes, it DOES give a different feel, but not in the emotional sense.
Happy faced after performing Mahler's quartet yesterday. Start the semester with some regalia. Here we go! (at Wilhelmshöhe, Hessen, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwAtdG4hylv/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=nglbr78otg72
Photographed in action by @catboss.yishi . Yesterday I performed Beethoven's opus 126 in combination with my very own 'Invisible Cities'. (at Chroma) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bvt0x2ehNXU/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xsyralv1lcri
Preparing a version of RASA SAYANG to play next week. It makes me very happy to play this! https://www.instagram.com/p/BvW2y0qhYRJ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ksjmp40ldwlo
Finally done with the second and therefore last part of my Bachelor recital. Thanks to @chordia_h for being the best accompanist, who knows my movements better than even my shadow does. Yet the show must go on!! https://www.instagram.com/p/BusqWtzBKW_/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ubmuwy3p720j
Every time a different experience. This is probably the 5th time for me performing this over the past year and I'm still learning how to play it... Music Theory IV Professor: In the Rite of Spring near the end of rehearsal marking 21, the set that marks the end of 21 is 6-30. After that, a new hexachord follows, created by 7-31. Remember that the set for the Augurs chord is 7-32. The actual hexachord is 6-Z50, which is a subset of 7-31
The class, as if one mind:
Just incase anyone is wondering, the chord names are codes from Allen Forte’s pitch class theory. It’s just short hand for a collection of pitches.
New post is out, link in bio! How did Stravinsky put it? Good composers borrow and great ones steal. Didn’t he steal this line from Picasso? Or was it the other way around? https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt-6-BDBNr1/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1r0tnx8rr62oq

Yes I spammed. Sorry that the entire series was not on Tumblr until today!
‘Mechanical and very dry’ is the subtitle of Boulez’s 10th notation. It sounds like there couldn’t be more chaos in 20 seconds yet somethings repeat themselves in this short time. Six times in fact! What do you hear that comes again and again? . . I am moving the release days of this series to Tuesdays instead of Sundays since I am currently in the holidays. . . This video is part of the series #contemporarymusicin60seconds where I post weekly videos of music of our time. . . . #boulez #pierreboulez #notations #douzenotations #classicalmusic #classical #contemporaryclassicalmusic #contemporarymusic #contemporaryclassical #contemporary #serialism #avantgarde #webern #antonwebern #piano #pianosolo #pianoforte #pianopiano #pianocover #pianogram #pianist #pianistsofinstagram #klavier #klavierspielen (at Kassel, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bl7J_lDB8r_/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ziukxh5nw9r4
Here I am playing the first piece from Boulez's 12 Notations. The cycle itself is an early work and an hommage to the number 12, with each piece lasting only 12 bar long. How do you make music with so little time? This first piece bears the heading "Fantasque" meaning capricious or imaginary. Using the harmonic language Schoenberg invented, Boulez manages to create a world of sudden changes and quirky accents. The piece also begins and ends with the same notes and gesture. I'll be posting the second piece soon! . . . #pianist #piano #pianoforte #pianistsofinstagram #pianogram #muso #musicnerd #newmusicnerd #contemporaryclassicalmusic #contemporarypiano #zeitgenössischemusik #boulez #schoenberg #docephony #twelvetone #klavier #klavierspielen #neuemusik #germany #oneminutecover #contemporarymusicin60seconds (at Detmold, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/p/BkJxPy9AGdR/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xh0r4qg9xnph
4 glissandi and a tightrope balancing act, all in 20 seconds. This is the second of Pierre Boulez's 12 Notations. I'll be posting the third notation soon, so watch this space! (Note to self: need to lubricate fingers slightly for the glissando, lest I lubricate the keys with my own blood...) . . . #pierreboulez #boulez #bartok #stravinsky #polymeter #contemporaryclassicalmusic #contemporaryclassical #classicalmusic #contemporarymusic #newmusic #modernmusic #twelvetone #schoenberg #webern #piano #pianopiano #pianist #pianistsofinstagram #zeitgenössischemusik #playnewmusic #glissando #musicnerd #curioushuman #muso #contemporarymusicin60seconds (at Kassel, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/p/BkRpyqSg7-L/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ol7iob334rbr
