What’s their full name? Why was that chosen? Does it mean anything?

Anthony Antigone Ocles! Well, backstory-wise her mother wanted to name her Antigone after the Greek play because she thought of Antigone as a strong and level headed character and just enjoyed the play. But her dad was like “Oh my god Miriam we can’t name our child that.” and was able to argue down to Anthony because it had the same three letters that Antigone started with and Miriam always like unique names so naming her afab child Anthony seemed good to her.

But like writing wise it’s because I did base Ant’s character off of Antigone originally. It was after I finished reading the play for ib english and I was so in love with it. And I was sitting there and I was like hey I just wrote my entire final essay on irony in the play Antigone and wouldn’t it be ironic to base my SoSu off of Antigone b/c in the play she is entombed alive and dies that way but the SoSu is ‘entombed’ in cyro and lives that way. Plus Haemon (Antigone’s finace in the play and what I named Ant’s husband b/c ya kno I gotta) goes into the tomb to try and save Antigone only to find her dead while Anthony goes out of her ‘tomb’ knowing that Haemon died. Yes I know it is a stretch but It was something I really wanted to work with! So I made Anthony in game w/ that in mind and I choose her name based on the list of names that would be said in game b/c I’m a sucker and I wanted to hear that. Then her middle name became Antigone b/c that the compromise was that Antigone would be somewhere in her name. Then I choose the last name Ocles b/c it’s literally the end of Sophocles the man who wrote the play Antigone and Anthony Sophocles didn’t sound good but Ocles did! So it was rly just a bit of an inside joke for myself lol.

Anthony is rather sentimental she’ll burst into tears just thinking about books she read for goodness sake. There’s plenty of things she kept from before the war and she does often take pre-war items that are in good condition just to have them. She misses so much about her past and so much she’ll never be able to get back. Reminder hurt to look at sometimes but she’s not sure she would be able to deal with everything that’s happened without a reminder of how it used to be. The best example is that she’ll never get rid of her wedding rings. She still wears hers and carries Haemon’s with her where ever she goes.

((Dogs. Anthony loves Dogs. And dogs love Anthony. Other animals ant is p neutral towards or possible cautious if it’s a big and kinda scary looking thing. But goddamn it Ant just loves some fucking dogs. Her idea of heaven is like that one vine were the person wakes up a pile of sleeping puppies and they swarm wanting loving pets. Anthony likes cats too just not as enthusiastically as she likes dogs. She’s cried looking at cute pictures of dogs before.))

((mmm no not really. Most of the situations I’ve seen have been between ppl I don’t know and ppl I do so I’m not abt to contact a stranger and try to mediate w/ a friend. I’m biased I know. Plus most of what I’ve seen has been other ppl bullying my friends so that’s not something you mediate that’s something you try and stop right damn then. But if it’s between two friends I try rly hard to stay out of it b/c I don’t want to be in drama or take sides ya know? It’s better for ppl to work things out themselves. Plus I won’t get involved unless both parties asked me to help them work it out peacefully. Cause I’ve been told that I’m nosy and I nvr rly thought I was but when it was pointed out I kinda just stepped down and don’t get involved in things that aren’t my business anymore))
