Hey I'm Chester, he/him, 22y.o and there may be something wrong with me.

I'm a minors dnf account, I won't skin you alive if you accidentally like my stuff as a minor just keep your distance please

I draw whatever I want but this blog is mostly gonna be fandom/anthro centered so if I dip for like 10 months thats because I'm fixated on my non anthro ocs. I'm much more active on insta with basically everything

I'm a furry and pretty pretentious about all of that. And I yap alot, unfortunately.

New sona/selfinsert/oc whatever for opal skies, a project I've been brainstorming (it's where dullscythe is from) It's name is Gardenia because the album heartstrings by lexycat has me in a chokehold… and I like gardenia flowers lol

this blog has been pretty dead for a while now, quite frankly I don't think posting oc content is worth it on tumblr most of the time and the main thing im into right now isnt a fandom I want to touch. I'm interested in reviving this blog for furry and general fandom art, I'd like to explore darker themes in my art and I dont really want to delete my roblox art because preservation and shit and maybe it means something to someone. Idk, I should clarify I dont want to be a minors dni blog but more so a minors do not follow account. Gotta do an overhaul of this thing soon lol

Point is, I'm gonna try and clean up my followers list a bit and make a new intro but if you see this and are a minor just dont follow lol, I'm not gonna behead you if you like my regretevator fanart but I'd prefer to keep regular interaction between adults. I just don't want to take it down because I know how much it sucks when fanart you liked gets deleted and I don't wanna do that

art tutorials / books i like masterpost

ppl ask me for advice and while i always have a lot of Thoughts about art that i like to share. maybe being told "just have fun and be yourself" can be frustrating when you want actionable advice so:

these are books i love that have taught me a lot, i own physical copies and still reference them all the time. (these arent expensive or hard to find but i'll include pdfs anyway)

and i am being completely dead serious when i say you should try the tutorials from ed emberley's books. yes even if you're a whole adult who has gone to art school. (everybody who tells me "your art is so shaped" this is where i get that shit from !!! he knew what he was talking about!!) this one is my favorite

also these books that i've learned a lot from that aren't literally "how to draw" books:

and i say this all the time but imo just doing a lot of observational drawing / drawing from life is the thing that will level you up the fastest. it's an awesome thing to be inspired by the art you love but if that's all you do you will never get out of the trap of comparing yourself to others. most importantly be gay and never give up
