why do u ship kanan and ezra? What is your favorite moment in canon between them?
FIRST im a big sucker for teacher x student dynamics with big agegaps , and also a little bit of pseudo dadson lol , and they fit in all of those things so it was inevitable
SECOND (a little bit confusing) ezra is my favorite character , but its the kind of liking where you go “ oh , idk if i love him or if i want to be him” and its a strange mix of both
when i have a favorite character who makes me feel that way , i kind of treat them like a “sona” and start 1. projecting my traits onto that character on the worst way posible and 2. saying that i am that character irl (in a kidding way)
kinda cringe , but honestly , theres nothing i can do about it , i just feel a strong connection to the character
i also project some of my own traumas onto him , but thats beside the point , were not entering in that
and dear anon , you r probably wondering “what does this have to do with Kanezra?????” well , heres the thing: i LUV kanan jarrus SO MUCH
i dont usually create ocs to ship with my favorite characters , so i typically take my favorite character , who i identify with a bit (in this case, ezra) , and ship them with the character id like to kiss (Kanan)
and boom , kanezra is born , also that why in my ezra cosplay post im saying stuff like "i luv my master i luv my master" and shit like that , im ezra irl who casually is in luv with kanan
the same thing happened with weskennedy (unrelated ship , its just an example) i saw myself in leon (my name is leon , what a surprise woa) and shipped him with wesker bc , above at all , i LUV wesker more
OK now my favorite kanezra moments !!!
when thay talk after the luminara mission , basic answer , but is THE kanezra moment , hear me out ,, that scene is literally them agreeing being boyfriends , a confession , and the "but i want you !" by ezra was a clue
in the last episodes of season one when ezra does whatever he can to save kanan from the grand inquisitor and tarkin , he wanted his bf back , alive and safe with him omggg
and also when they use each other lightsaber ?? cute af
when kanan see that ezra is fine and not dead oouhhg , like his bf still alive he prob felt so relieved
not sure abt the manga part , bc the manga follows the canon events but they r not showed on the show ,, but the way they continued this scene in the manga is SO cute and so kanezra what the hell
following the last point with the manga , this panel when they fight the grand inquisitor in fort anaxes
honestly , i dont rlly remember which one of the two scenes comes first and which comes second ,, i think the one on the left comes first , and the cave scene happens later idk , but OH MY GOD , the first one was totally wild , HOW do you expect me to act normally after ezra , completely emotionally broken, calling to kanan , with absolutely no hope that he would show up of nowhere and thinking that hes going to die , just to kanan appearing OUT OF NOWHERE right in front of him LIKE THAT
the cave scene was rlly their reconciliation , and when they started their relationship again , getting to know each other and trusting each other once more , the look of utter surprise on kanans face ,,, they rlly luv each other
and not a moment , but this escene from the comics , the size difference drives me absolutely crazy , i needed to show it anon srry
i think thats all , its really late (6:40 am and havent slept) , also i havent watched rebels for the sixth time yet , so id have to refresh my memory , but if i remember any other moment later , i might add it , but im not promising anything
