AITA for working while sick?

I’ve had a really, REALLY bad stomach recently. I rushed back to work because, not to brag, but I’m pretty indispensable here. But I still have the runs.

Uh, I might have messed up the office toilet. And my boss’s toilet. And I can’t guarantee that my seat is 100% clean (never trust a fart!). If there’s a suspicious puddle of an unknown liquid, it wasn’t me.

Am I the asshole for going to work while sick? 💩

While I’m here, does anyone else have advice to how I should treat a colleague who is spreading office gossip that I stole his performance bonus? Should I just ignore him?

AITA for not wanting to call a younger colleague by his actual name? 

There is a literal Dark Lord at work. He-who-must-not-be-named. I refuse to call him by his name even though all my colleagues do, because acknowledging him is acknowledging his talent. 

Besides, we all know what happens when we say his name, don’t we? 

I could get attacked by snatchers, or worse, expelled.

AITA for holding my party at the same time as my emotional support rival’s party?

We held our celebrations on the same night and now our mutual friends are complaining that they had to choose between both of our parties. 

According to them, they had troubles deciding between one birthday party and another birthday party. I think it’s obvious which is more important, no?

We ended up in the same club eventually though. I don’t get why they’re complaining!

AITA for causing people to go broke?

I recently did a merch drop and already people are complaining that I’ve caused them to spend too much money on clothes. 

I need to make hay while the sun’s shining so I hope people will understand when I charge $160 for a sweater. Plus I didn’t force anyone to actually buy it...

AITA for wanting to cook expensive shit for my employees and give them sick leave when I give them food poisoning?

Title says it all really. My industry’s regulator is telling me I can’t feed my employees without properly accounting and getting a license for this activity. I just wanted to give my staff free lunches.

Is it really my fault I’m a bad cook? 

My star employee also likes carpaccio, how can I keep him happy if I can’t feed him?? Please suggest cheaper alternatives for beef carpaccio. Maybe fried bacon?

AITA for telling my boss I finished the budget report when I haven’t? 

Long story short I missed a deadline last week at work to submit a report. My boss had to publicly announce that the report would be released today instead. I promised that it’d be done by then.

But I have been procrastinating the whole week - I just binged watched Brooklyn 99 and I’m literally posting here - and the report is due today at 5pm BST. 

Help.

AITA for telling my colleague I was rooting for him?

Three of my coworkers were in a competition for employee of the year. Everyone has their favourite that they’ve been rooting for (even if they need to keep who they’re supporting on the down low) and I have mine too.

So today after work, I told my fav coworker I was rooting for him. I It was only when he looked back at me with wide, dead eyes did I realise:

His rival had just been announced as Employee of the Year 2022 and

His mistake in the final line of the most recent project lost it for him (he received a penalty for it)

Man, I was just trying to be nice to the poor kid. Was I an ass?

AITA for making a move that gave my partner his 2nd WDC without letting him celebrate properly?

I wanted so bad to take the fight to the next race that I ran wide on the last turn and got a 5 second penalty. Resulting in my partner winning because I dropped one place.

Now he’s telling me he wanted to celebrate on the radio with his team 😞 Was it my fault he won in such a manner?

AITA for being happy that it was one driver who crashed and not the other?

I’ve been getting some flack online for expressing my opinion that I was glad it was Driver A out of the race and not his team mate, Driver B, on live commentary. According to them, me saying that everyone had their hearts in their mouths and were worried it was Driver B is me being a hater?? 

I mean, from the championship point of view, it’s always more fun if it isn’t wrapped up today, right? Nothing to do with my bias at all, no sir.

WIBTA if I kicked my friend off my private plane for his stupid take on a work incident?

 I own a private jet (don’t ask) and today I was involved in an incident with a colleague. He told people it’s my fault when obviously it wasn’t intentional on my end, and I also had damage to my vehicle from my losing the rear. Of course I wouldn’t risk my car like that.

Would I be an ass if I told him to fly commercial even though i already agreed to give him a ride home? Brb, I’ve to go see the people in charge of judging this now.

AITA for getting half hard during a work activity?

So. Marketing asked me and my coworker to film a video for tiktok. I had to pick him up and due to the positions we were in, he had to press his ass on my crotch. I’m pretty sure that he knew I was chubbing up.

But in my defence, both of us agreed to do the video and it’s only a natural response to having someone grinding up on you, right? 

Should I apologise to my coworker? Would flowers be appropriate, or would chocolate work better?

AITA for wrecking my employer’s property on “accident”?

I am pretty sure that I am about to be fired at the end of this year. My CEO seems to hate me for no reason too, although I’ve been improving and getting better reviews from our customers throughout the past six months.

I was so fed up with his lack of faith in me that I might or might not have purposely crashed one of the company’s vehicles to get back at his smug butt. Now I’m feeling a little bit guilty (not really) for causing a few more hundreds of thousands in repair bills. 

Should I feel guilty about this?
