This redraw took me SO LONG to do but I’m really happy with the result. My energy would wane in and out while working on it and honestly I completely stopped for quite a few months there, but I knew i wanted to finish it, no matter what.

The first two images are the originals that I drew back in 2018 and at the time, it was my proudest drawing. In 2021, I decided that it was time to redraw it, see where my skills had improved and so i worked up a sketch in a teeny tiny sketchpad, but the real work began in 2023 when i finally set up my desk and got back into digital art. Between then, i would send my friends progress pictures as proof i was, in fact, trying to get my passion back going. Until finally, I completed it. The final picture being the unedited version.

The insane thing is I’m not done with this littls project yet. I’m taking a break from it for a bit just to hop right on to doing a second version.

Drawing I did forever ago but just kept forgetting to post. Really adored playing around with the color and lighting with this one. Aimed for this morning light feel and think I did a pretty good job doing so

Anyways, small update to those interested, animal crossing has lost its grip (for now) and I've been rebuilding my drive to draw once again. Ive been doing a quite a bit of character designs and development that I intend to showcase eventually, but my mind is a roller coaster and Im locked in the ride lmaoo

graphic design really is such a weird job to have because its juuuust creative enough to be unrelatable to self proclaimed "uncreative" people but also not nearly as romantic as a true fine artist or craftsman or whatever.

now im just going on a tangent but that xkcd comic thats like "scientists severely overestimate how much the average person knows about their field" is me every day at my job cause they will have me doing the menial non-design ever and i think "do i really need to be the one doing this? cant the social media managers or video editors do this themselves?" but then when i leave them to their own devices they always manage to make the worst choices possible and im like how do you even fuck up this bad ....?
