Starting a rumor that Taylor didn’t give debut an eras tour set because she’s actually planning to tour debut after debut tv comes out because it never got it’s moment in the sun

the fact that Long Live/New Years Day was the piano song on the reputation tour and then to close out eras she played that again but she added The Manuscript….i am Thinking Thoughts but I do not know what they are yet

she started the eras tour still believing that reputation was the story of her life: she found love in the midst of the noise, and she put her faith in that being her happy ending, even though she hadn’t read the last page. but the last page didn't and wouldn’t come and she was stuck rehashing the magic of the beginning over and over again, and then just as the tour was getting going, that story she was clinging to collapsed. we’ve watched her deconstruct that story and trace its origins for two years, in surprise songs and in mashups and in ttpd, and finally, here at the end…there is nothing left but the manuscript, the tour that she created for us, which became a testament to a very different love than the one she thought it would. she can look at the plan for eras and really say “the story isn’t mine anymore”: it passed into our hands and we made something beautiful of it. and she’s living a new story now.

Peter is such an underrated song. I think because the album is so long and so full of great stuff people don’t give it a chance. Also it’s not really a song that would do well as a single. Peter is for the real fans. I’m so jealous of the crowd that got the Peter mash up as the surprise song. LOVE’S NEVER LOST WHEN PERSPECTIVE IS LEARNED!!!!!!

Great point about it being a grown up version of evermore. Evermore doesn’t get the love it should because it’s not full of energy but I think it’s very strong musically and in terms of feeling big difficult emotions. And Champagne Problems was my most played song last year I don’t feel one drop of shame. And Tayla sings it on tour so like obviously she likes it too. And Right Where You Left Me???? Oh man, oh god. It’s so good. I will cease and desist now.

Idk if you already know this but i just read a while ago that in the deluxe version of evermore, it gives the main character two choices: we learned that she finally realized from “i have a feeling so peculiar that this pain WOULD be forevermore” to “this pain WOULDN’T be forevermore” so: a) whether to stay at the restaurant or b) she leaves bc it’s time to go

So i guess if ttpd is the adult self of evermore (and her twin sis folklore even) then she’s a collection of regrets and acceptance:

“tried to change the ending, PETER loosing wendy” to “the woman (wendy) who sits by the window has turned out the light” /acceptance

“my house of stone your ivy grows” to “still killing time at the cemetery” /regret

I have so much feelings about evermore!! I think it really is an underrated album. It has so much layers and stories connected i could go on for so long about this
