School related:

I am getting wishlists from area elementary school teachers. Their yearly budgets are only $100 per year.

They’re all in desperate need of various items throughout the year.

I’m connecting them with retired teachers and people who are downsizing the office/school/art supplies in their homes.

This is only one school.

I will get another list of educators next week. They go over the budgets easily. It’s impossible to stay within budgets when students can’t buy their own school supplies.

ALL of these folks are buying items for their classrooms and for their students OUT OF POCKET. 

Let’s help them out.  I’ll post lists as I get them. :)

Hello, I just read your animal story about Gus the emu and let me tell you I work at a zoo and we have emus and you are a very brave person, emus are pretty much all assholes. (I still love them though lol.) Did I read it right that you just had an emu wandering around your house sitting on your couch?? Wow, you are amazing. I am totally aware that you are a very busy person so feel free to ignore me, but I would LOVE more of these stories!

Yeah, that was Gus.  Gus was, to put it mildly, a total asshole.  He’d been raised in an apartment as a “pet,” and he had too many “I am the boss of people, I want to hang out on the furniture” traits to really re-acclimatize to being a normal emu.  So he got bounced from foster home to foster home until he wound up at the emu farm and was eaten for being a jerkzilla.

Don’t be a jerkzilla.  People will eat you.

if you haven’t watched this film with the commentary then you are missing out, it’s hilarious. “Lemony Snicket” was completely unhappy with the film and wanted no real part of it and so in the commentary he just fucks about. Seriously, at one point he gets out an accordion and drowns out the director with his playing

The Doggo went away

I miss the doggo. I was going to become his friend, but sadly he had to go back to his first home.

I really want to adopt the doggo. Sadly allergies mean I can’t.

Oh well, I shall hypnotize my friends into getting more doggos.

Now I only have to learn how too..

this book really piqued my interest because of how Goodman wrote Eona. She is a character who is already at a disadvantage because she is a girl, add in the fact that she is a cripple and no one would think she could be a candidate for a dragon master. She is fierce and determined to grow and overcome any adversities that may crop up between her and her goals. If you are looking for a main character with spunk look no further than Eon.
