If you could choose a game to live in, what would it be?
Feed your dashboard by answering my question, blogger.
Probably a hat in time. Is it pretty dangerous a lot of the time? Yeah, but there are somewhat safer areas to live in, and its such a cool world with interesting inhabitants. I think id be willing to put up with the mafia, soul stealing ghosts, lava, and stupid angry crows to live there tbh. Besides, a decent chunk of the chaos in the game was the result of the time pieces in some way, if they weren't there, then the chaos would hopefully be reduced lol.

Most underrated video game?

hmmm, maybe Ghost trick? At the very least I think more people should know about it, its extremely good and has such an interesting premise.
And, here is my cover art mock up!
I was able to include more detail in this than I was in the pattern, since with the pattern I was limited by essentially trying to do pixel art on a 75x78 ish grid. I added lots of little background speckles for funsies and one of lucy's new hair ribbons that Loke gifted her. I drew on the title in cursive, which took longer than I'd like to admit to make it look nice. Somehow the hands don't look as nice to me in this drawing, but given how rarely I draw at all, they aren't bad? I'm normally a fiber art girlie (crochet, knitting, bracelet making, etc), so it felt weird busting out autodesk sketchbook and my laptop pen for the first time in probably at least a year. Hope you like my attempt at a cover in the meantime and I'm excited to show off the finished wall hanging whenever I get it done!
and of course, I love the concept art.
LOOK AT THIS EVERYONE! IT'S BEAUTIFUL!
Truthfully it took a while to respond because I would spend several minutes staring at it, decide I didn't have the words to express how much I loved it yet, then put it away until I could repeat the process. But I love all the details and the hands and the constellations and the colors and everything. I am so happy to have inspired more art. I love it.
Hi! This is CM! Here is the pattern I've cooked up so far.
The blank pixels at the top are just a placeholder because I'm still debating on if I want to stitch the title on at some point and where I'd put it if I did lol. I also added two of the 3 rings Loke bought at the top (the plain gold band and one with the circle diamond and two oval sapphires.) I would have added the third but I think I'd cry if I tried to figure out how to make a woven ring design in what is essentially pixel art.
I included Loke and Lucy holding hands with both their marks visible like you suggested, and I'm actually semi satisfied with them. They turned out looking ok in the pattern, even though drawing hands is usually my nemesis when doing art lol.
The yellow dots are constellations! The one on the right is the Leo constellation, while the one on the left is perseus and andromeda, which I mostly picked because they are also known as the lovers, and I wanted to add something to balance out the open space on the left. Though if you have other suggestions for something to use I'm open to suggestions, this kind of pattern is easy enough to adjust on the fly lol.
Each pixel represents a knot tied, and making it is basically like weaving i guess? I just have 1 background string(?) per column, and just tie the same kind of knot from left to right, then right to left, changing colors as needed.
totally forgot I never actually typed out my reply, because this is wonderful!!!
I love the hands, that's just perfect. Though maybe make the green of Loke's guildmark a shade that stands out a little more? I cant wait to see how it actually translates to thread, I'm sure you've taken that into account, but it really looks so good!
Perseus and Andromeda are a good pick, but it's a little heavy compared to the Leo side. What about Pyxis instead if you wanted a little simpler. A kind of symbol of always wanting to find each other?
Of course, it's been a minute, and ignore all of this if you've already started. I know it's going to come out cool no matter what!

What is the most beautiful world you've played on?

Assuming this is talking about video games, probably the games Gris or Solar Ash. They both have some gorgeous worlds/visuals!

Thoughts i had on iron lung
Just got done watching iron lung for the first time, and it was very good. They weren't lying when they said it was slow, but I enjoyed the slowness honestly. It gave us time to get to know Simon more personally. I was also a fan of the way some things came back later in unexpected ways.
Like how at the start, Simon used bandage tape to try and keep the camera on, before giving up after the tape kept failing and he had used up the entire roll. But then, in the final part, the blood/flesh stuff appeared over the button in an X, pressing it down in the same way the bandage tape had. By that point, Simon had mostly given up on using the camera for navigation, only using the camera occasionally and mostly using the proximity detector lights to know when to turn. But now the blood itself was keeping the camera on, like it wanted to be sure he could see what was coming for him.
Or the life vest, that he originally tossed aside, and only found somewhat useful for its small dinky light. But in the very end, when he finally accepted he wasn't getting out alive, he used it to save the thing he decided was more important than him.
Also, the blood being so active and alive at the end took me off guard. Like when it grabbed his arm and looked like it rooted itself into him, to the point that he had to rip his arm off to escape it. I was expecting the monsters in the depths to be the primary threat, but apparently even the ocean itself was alive and actively coming for him.
Not sure if it was just me or if someone else sees it too, but as the blood began dripping into the submarine more and more, covering every surface, it began feeling like Simon was inside a living creature to me. The pipes along the walls felt akin to ribs, while the wires felt more like veins. Especially once the blood began to cover every surface, making everything take on a vaguely fleshy quality. I dont know if this means anything to anyone, but it was an interesting contrast to me, when compared to the very start of the movie and how the submarine looked and felt then.
I dont know, I just really enjoyed the quietly building horror and its sudden crescendo at the end. Also, the drive home was an interesting experience, since the first song that I played on the drive was Cage, by the band Plumb. The lyrics felt darkly apt to me after having just watched that movie. I'd personally recommend giving it a listen, its a good song.
If I ever share anything that was AI generated it is purely by accident. I hate that it's getting harder and harder to tell and it makes me want to never use the internet again. It definitely had its faults, but man I miss the internet of the 2000s so much.
Adding to this: please TELL ME if I share something that is genAI and you know it is. I want to know this information.
What did you dissect in school?
A frog
Pig’s heart
Sheep’s lung

Something else
My school didn’t have students dissect anything
I didn’t attend school
