Madeleine & Claudia INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE | 2.06 Daniel & Armand THE QUEEN OF THE DAMNED, Anne Rice
Margarita Karapanou, tr. by Karen Emmerich, from Rien ne va plus
QUEEN OF THE DAMNED Aaliyah as AKASHA
Not enough credit is given in my opinion to AMC for, when adapting Devil's Minion, acknowledging that they still wanted to keep the visible vs. real age gap disparity (17 < 32 vs. 32 < 500+), but also knowing that they were giving vampires the ability to fuck again and there is nothing in the world that would ever justify putting a character that looks 17 in that situation on screen.
So they came up with an elegant compromise:
Fuck. That. Old. Man.
Reblog if your blog is boopable-safe so you can get all the (probably new) achievements. I don’t care about notes I just want boops
behind the scenes jacob is very dear to me so i had to study him 💕🦇
The next time Loustat kiss, it's going to be insane. Probably the most insane kiss on the show. Has everyone come to terms with this? Is everyone mentally preparing themselves?
They are two vampires who are madly in love and who are astronomically deranged about each other and they have just spent almost 80 years apart. I don't think we are ready for the nuclear levels of passion and obsession and YEARNING we are going to witness between them going forward. It might change television as we know it, it's going to be that insane.
When I remember how Lestat tried to get sentenced for his crimes too so that he could die with his family.
Made more of these 'cause they're fun
"The way Daniel sits here with his arm around the back of the sofa, a conspicuously empty, person-shaped space right beside him..."
@speckled-jim
yeah he was just grabbing a snack
plans
fuck nasty
get blood drained
die
What I love most about the Loustat reunion is that it wasn't a scene about them rekindling their romance. By the end, it was ultimately a scene about two parents coming together to grieve their child after having to grieve by themselves for decades. In that scene Louis and Lestat are finally in the same room as the only other person who understands what they are feeling. They finally have somebody to lean on and talk to about Claudia's death. They can finally feel seen and supported in their grief. They no longer have to go through it alone. And I don't know, that is just very beautiful to me.
I mean obviously their love is still there. It is going to be tangible in every scene because they are sickeningly in love. But it wasn't the focus of the scene. It was sort of pushed to the back. And I think that was the right move. Because that was definitely not the right time to try and rebuild their romantic relationship lol. That was the time to reconnect, apologize, understand, forgive, grieve, etc.
Just overall I think that scene was beautiful and very well done.
ASSAD ZAMAN as THE VAMPIRE ARMAND Interview with the Vampire
- HE DID ME SOME FACE AND I DROVE 🚗 HIM HOME 🏠 !!!
- 😭 I HEARD YOUR HEARTS DANCING ❤️🕺❤️🕺
- YOU WATCHED THE WHOLE THING LIKE SOME CREEPER 🔍 ???!!!!!
- AND THEN I WATCHED YOU PULL OVER AND DRAIN A DOG 🐕 AND RUN 🏃 DOWN AN ALLEYWAY FOR TWO MORE RATS 🐀🐀 THIS IS NOT A LIFE !!!
this is cracking me up because it’s like. okay like i know they’re taking it season by season and they weren’t going to spoil anything in behind the scenes features at the end of season 1 but like. why did they lie to himmmmmmm 😭
and on top of that imagine you’re assad zaman and you know your costar eric bogosian doesn’t know anything about the future of his own character and the one thing you’re sure to tell him is “we WILL be fucking later” 🧍♂️
