Along With the Gods | Haewonmak & Deokchun ~ high five
Whenever Gang Rim sees the high five, sometimes iniciated by Deokchun, somtimes by Haewonmak, most times by both simultaneously, heās always reminded of that last moment in their lives, when heād watched Haewonmak trying to reach for Deokchunās hand. It had been a quiet, heartbraking moment, so different from the exuberant high five nowadays, because back then Haewonmak had failed. These days however, their hands always connect, every single time.

the diamond necklace

some are well-known, some obscure, some I enjoy as an adult, all made me uncomfortable between the ages of 11-15

The Tell-Tale Heart, The Gift of the Magi, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calavaras County, Thank You Ma'am

Harrison Bergeron, Cat and the Coffee Drinkers
āWhere are you going and where have you beenā by Joyce carol oates
āThe Pedestrianā by Ray Bradbury
the lottery by shirley jackson
i canāt believe Roald Dahlās āThe Landladyā wasnāt already mentioned and also itās not so much unsettling as more absurdist but āThe Leaderā by Eugene Ionesco definitely made me go wtf

An Ordinary Day with Peanuts, by Shirley Jackson
Eh, this was more like community college, but The Star by Arthur C. Clarke
Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl
and this story that I canāt remember the name of and canāt find, though it might be by O. Henry? itās about a bunch of demons who want to stop Santa Claus from going through with Christmas, and he must travel through the mountains they inhabit to escape their vices? (good christ I canāt remember the name for the life of me)
Ok but the laughing man and a good day for bananafish but j.d. Salinger
The City (195) Ray Bradbury. An intense commentary on colonialism and space exploration. I read it for a sci fi survey class.
Another short story I read in that sci fi class was Vaster than Empires and More Slow (1971) by Ursula K. Le Guin. A commentary on humanity and how human we believe ourselves to be. Also, an interesting commentary on mental health.
In the Woods Beneath the Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom, written in 1947 by Ango Sakaguchi. It made my skin crawl the first time I read it.
Also going to recommend For A Breath I Tarry by Roger Zelazny, a commentary on whether AI can become human in a future without humans: http://www.kulichki.com/moshkow/ZELQZNY/forbreat.txt
whoever postedĀ āThe Laughing Manā andĀ āA Good Day For Bananafishā is Correct

Adding to the list of Bradbury: āThere Will Come Soft Rainsā
The Nine Billion Names of God by Arthur C. Clarke. (I never re-read it and suspect if I did, Iād find it had issues, but I still think about the ending.)

stumbled across an excerpt of Flowers for Algernon while looking for stories to read in my textbook. it wasnāt very unsettling but the idea of gaining and suddenly losing all of your intelligence and memories is a chilling one
Cold Equations by Tom Godwin
I remember reading this together as a class from our textbooks.Ā It haunts me to this day.Ā Iāve run into people from my high school years and years later and they still remember this story and how disturbed they were by it.
I also agree about The Lottery by Shirley Jackson.Ā I had to teach a whole class about it when I was a student teacher.Ā Not my favoriteā¦
Itās 2016 and Iām still not letting Namsoon and Heungsooās relationship in school 2013 go
anyways,,, when in s2e1 sheppard had his retire party and bill made a speech he could've just pick up a fork from his own table where he sat with wendy but instead he went up to holden where he chatted with some people and picked up a fork from his table,,, and honestly, if it wasn't totally for the sole reason of disturbing holden & friends' chĆt-chatting and making him turn and listen to Him ,,, then i don't know why he did it like that. like seriously. bill literally walked up to holden and stole His fork to tap it to his glass when he could've stole it from wendy or literally anyone else. or just, yknow, use his own. in this essay i will
Imagine Holden not being able to let go of how well Wendy was able to think up of a ""story"" about her being gay in order to get more information for their interview, and trying to do the same himself. Like he devises a ""story"" and practices it beforehand but when he goes into the room with bill and the serial killer, it's no longer a story, it's real. It's his admiration, his love, for his partner that he realises isn't anyone he's made up for the sake of enriching research, he's no different. He's actually in love with Bill.
SOMEBODY WRITE THIS PLEASE
why ship holden with a serial killer (gross) when bill tench (sexy) is right there
YES IF THIS AINT ME
Mindhunter: a summary.
professor ahn, i like you. please stay by my side instead of Godās.Ā
appreciation for jeongwon looking at gyeoul.Ā
I love this kid.
Heās only in Prisoner of Azkaban, and he has two lines:
āItās among the darkest omens in our world. Itās an omen⦠of death.ā
and donāt forget, the ever popular:
āItās like trying to catch smoke⦠Like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands.ā
Itās like okay, kid, we donāt know who you are, but go ahead and say the two most intense lines in the entire movie. I guess thatās cool. Whatevs.
I fucking love this random Gryffindor!
This is Bem, the only student to ever successfully change Houses. In the third movie, heās a Gryffindor. In the fifth he magically becomes a Ravenclaw. Bow down to Bem for he holds all the knowledge.
BEM IS OUR KING.
Itās because after he uttered those two lines everyone was like āDAYUM BEMā and he was sent to Dumbledoreās office and Dumbledore was like I boy you twoo fuckinā wise to be a lion you gonna be a raven now. Get your ass in Ravenclaw.
and thats how it happened.
the end.
All hail Bem.
GOD SAVE BEM

If you open up the dictionary and look up the phraseĀ āif looks could killā, these would be the eyes that they used as an example. Coincidentally, theyāre also the cause of my death. So.
@ God, youāre telling me that Iām gonna be forever alone? Okay.
Thirst Thread Time
It seemed rather unfair, in my mind at least, that I didnāt do a thirst thread for Yoo Yeon Seok. And as such. This.
Breathe in, breathe out, let me lick your sweaty pecs yes
Honestly Mr Sunshine might be a slow burn but I canāt complain about the amount of skin theyāre making him show because
šš¼šš¼šš¼šš¼šš¼šš¼šš¼
Yeah baby spread em wide. Iād like to take a number to be between them.
He does the whole ācovered in the blood of people who annoy youā thing quite spectacularly š
I mean. Without the beard he looks like a fucking jailbait but like. Yo. Finger hearts.
Such cinematography. I am much hoe for him.
@ God are you trying to tell me that I have too high standards in men?
