It's funny that when the show started Jake had to lose weight to be believable that someone with the looks of Zooey D would be interested in him (his words in an early interview), and during the entire show Nick's been that guy who's considered attractive but not in an obvious kind of way. Now we not only have to pretend Zooey is not as beautiful as she is because Jess is not supposed to be like that, but we're also supposed to pretend that Jake isn't hot as hell because that's not who Nick is.

I know, only in Hollywood. Zooey and Jake are both stupidly good looking people.
