I love this time of year. Chicory is everywhere in CT making my drive more enjoyable. We refuse to weed wack them in my yard. They have gotten huge this year.

Charlie found my garden gnomes because he is the best. I was outside putting them where they belong and found that we still have bats that circle the yard. Love my little peaceful nook in the urban area I live. We have the yard bunny, bats, and groundhogs. The groundhogs are lucky we don't have a huge food garden to protect this year. They get to hang out.

In order of appearance we have our urban yard bunny, nicotania, celosia, borage, yarrow, dephiniun, feverfew and the two beds. The veggies are beans, mustard greens, and some volunteer tomatoes. The veggies are mainly for Zan. Only the best for my beardie.

Love picking the salad for my beardie fresh from the garden. Her greens from my raised bed and her green bean from the garden I work on with my best friends. She is now 15 inches long from head to tail! <3 Also I'm finding quite a few volunteer tomato plants from them wintering in the straw bales.

Work in progress. I'll stop for now since I have an area where I made a mistake. Hopefully a bit of gesso will help me fix it. Love my new travel watercolor set. It's the 24 color koi pocket set. That and I got myself a small moleskin watercolor book. <3

I just found Jolinar my Okeetee corn snake dead. I’m kind of in shock. I don’t know what to think. She seemed perfectly fine, she had been avoiding food but was still bright and healthy and not losing weight which was right in line with the last four years where she went off food to produce a clutch of slugs. So I had no reason to suspect anything was wrong.

She was my first snake I ever got….

God… I’m so crushed….

I met a couple Australians this weekend and they introduced me to what is possibly the greatest phrase in the English language. Apparently, a common response to a wide variety of questions is “I’m not here to fuck spiders”. It means “I’m already doing that” or “Obviously, yeah”. So like, example usage:

At the bar with a friend. Friend: do you want to get a beer? Me: well, I’m not here to fuck spiders.

Inspiration wall done for now besides the gray face my brother made. It's heavy so I have to hang it right. It will grow as I work and as I find pieces I want up. So happy to reclaim my space.
