She asked why I watched it without her. I told her I didn't think she would care that much about a font.

She was mad at me for assuming a person that has never ever given much thought to typeface before wouldn't care about this typeface. So I offered to watch it again, which mollified her.

I'm anglo, but I do speak some French and "ta gueule" is pretty fuckin hard.

First, he tutoyers him, while vouvoyering his other guest (though I doubt you can really use "vous" with gueule). Secondly, "gueule" means "mouth", but it means an animal's mouth.

Together, it means "shut your hole" AT BEST.
