Catching up with the Mun

Hey lovelies, I know its been a very very long time and I’ve honestly felt horrible about not keeping you all in the loop but life got pretty insane the past year. My mother had a heart complication resulting in open heart surgery which took up most of my time for the past 6 months, along with work taking over my like and stress driving my into a depression. I’ve been a mess and so behind on things but I am around. You can message me for rps or just to chat with the feline herself. I am planning on looking at this blog and seeing if it is worth making a Multimuse to help me keep things active. <3 Love you all

Out of the hospital

If there was one thing Selina hated more then loosing to someone was being stuck in a hospital, so when she was finally freed to leave she would have jumped for joy. Had she not still been in pain and recovering from her injuries. Bones were healed, wounds were starting to heal into sore scars that would need something to keep them from being too obvious.

She had decided to sit out in the park rather then head home, tired but needing the fresh air after being stuck in the stuffy hospital for so long. She took a deep breath and let out a sigh, relaxing.  “It’s good to be out” She mumbled and brushed a hand through her hair, feeling the longer strands, she needed a hair cut it seemed too. Probably a spa day was in her future plans as well.

Personal reasons for being away

OOC: It has been a long while since I’ve been online but I promise you I am well and alive, I’ve just been really busy with work and my family. If you recall I had posted a while back, last year actually, about my mother having a heart attack and needing surgery. It turns out she needs open heart surgery, thanks to three valves not working properly and a thickening of the heart. We are waiting for the 4th of March for a call with the surgeons for the Open Heart Surgery that she will have. I’ve been really busy mostly with work and stress keeping me from doing things that I love, like being here with everyone. I am working on trying to get back onto my Tumblrs and being more active again. Please don’t hesitate to come bother my muse! I am here and trying again! <3 Love Selina-Mun.

**LARGE UPDATE**

This is why I have been away this week.

To make things easier I will put this all in point form as this is a lot of new information.

-Mitral Valve is collapsed and leaking into the heart (The mitral valve (/ˈmaɪtrəl/), also known as the bicuspid valve or left atrioventricular valve, is a valve with two flaps in the heart, that lies between the left atrium and the left ventricle.)

-Aoritc Valve is leaking as well (The aortic valve is a valve in the human heart between the left ventricle and the aorta.)

-Low blood pressure due to the leaks

-Thickening of the heart Due to these issues, her physical activity has to be limited and will be off work indefinitely, we are waiting for EI to be approved. (Even though it is only a small percent of your working wage)

December 12th there is an Angiogram booked, this will be an injection of dye and a camera up the Aoritc Vein to look for any other problems as well as to construct an idea of what can be done. Dec 13th is an appointment with the Cardiologist again, to talk the safest way to proceed with surgery.

Mom is doing everything she can to get stronger for the surgery, better food and building her strength. She is still very terrified as anyone would be in this situation.

Real talk: My mother has a heart condition

This is why I have not been around as much as I should have been… I hate to talk about my own shit going on a it seems like the past bit has been all about that. First it was my siblings health and now…its my mother. She recently found out she had a heart attack in the past little bit, most likely last week with the readings they had. Now she has an enlarged heart wit ha valve that is spitting blood back instead of taking it in. We are looking at treatments and waiting for calls back, most likely she will be admitted into the hospital and sent to the city for Surgery. With that news we know we will have to come up with money for loss of work from her time off since Oct 12 and me needing time to care for her. Not to mention transport to the city. That is ontop of living costs.
