my unasked for take on the word 'clanker' is that people being happy to use a slur against a non-human group is pretty indicative on their views on other humans that they don't refer to with slurs.
finding a new minority to openly oppress without backlash or arguments or being cancelled is how these people live their lives. moving on from the last hated group to the next. and now, when they've finally found a "people" they can call a slur makes me wonder what they would say about other oppressed groups if they wouldn't face hate for it.
I find it fucking unbelievable that people think that it is okay to use a slur just because it's 'fine this time'. and yes, I hate AI as much as the next person, but that does not make it acceptable to create* a slur.
