hi friends, I need some opinions on what pattern to knit with some yarn i bought from someone's destash.
i have 2 patterns I'm flipflopping between, ive knit both of them before but want to re-knit them: one is Truuduse by Aleks Byrd, and the other is Hibernal Socks by Summer Lee. I want to re-knit the Truuduse socks cuz the first pair I knit ended up slightly too small, and i want to re-knit the Hibernal socks cuz the first pair i knit went thru the wash & shrank.
Heres the yarn:
Here's what the socks look like: left image is of hibernal socks, right image is of truuduse:
what pattern should I knit again with this hot pink yarn

My second sweater design is finally finished!
This one is called the 'Unicorn Tapestry' sweater and the pattern can be found on both
Ravelry and Etsy!
Wish I had the same approach to life as I have with knitting/crochet
Like I know I'm going to make mistakes that's inevitable, I don't care about that, it's about finding creative fixes
Or I'm going to try this thing I have never done before, just because it's a skill I want to learn and I trust myself enough to be able to pick it up
Or this didn't work out the way I wanted it to, oh well, next time I'm going to do a few things differently and see how that changes things

Life tip:
Doing fiber arts in a library may attract the librarians to you. This will be a positive interaction.
I once cross stitched at the library, because I had time to kill and it was way too hot to be outside and I couldn't go home
I remember being afraid I'd get kicked out because I wasn't reading a book?? As you might expect it was totally fine, no one commented on it, and I found out my library has gender neutral bathrooms, which made me very happy :3
Librarians might do fiber arts in the library to attract you, too. Mine has a crochet group as one of their regular programs, and I am looking forward to fitting it into my schedule this year.
I knitted a sweater (following this pattern with minor tweaks)! My partner has described my personal style as 'looking like i crawled out from under a wet log' (affectionate) - so i think this will fit in with the rest of my wardrobe.
Even though this is a super simple sweater, I loved knitting it and was entranced by every stage of the process. A few weeks ago it was balls of yarn - and now it is a 3 dimensional article which I am wearing as I type.
Process pictures below.
Whilst making this, my mind turned quite naturally to what I will make next. A cardigan, perhaps... and then I got thinking that I could maybe make my own wooden buttons or toggles.
I had to investigate the tangent, and ended up with a rough-and-ready proof of concept.

Great job

oh my god he did a bobbin lace. out of parachute cords, both military and protective in nature. of the guy who saved someone from the water and then ran to fire his gun with his fine ass out. This is so gorgeous and so gay
Me, doing my silly little crafts, trying not to fall into a hopeless abyss:
I've been doing so much cross stitching lately which is worrying because I KNOW I didn't buy enough floss for this project 💀
