I tried to talk to my piano I tried to talk to my guitar Talked to my imagination Confided into alcohol I tried and tried and tried some more Told secrets 'til my voice was sore Tired of empty conversation 'Cause no one hears me anymore
A hundred million stories And a hundred million songs I feel stupid when I sing Nobody's listening to me Nobody's listening I talk to shooting stars But they always get it wrong I feel stupid when I pray So, why am I praying anyway? If nobody's listening
Anyone, please send me anyone Lord, is there anyone? I need someone, oh Anyone, please send me anyone Lord, is there anyone? I need someone
I used to crave the world's attention I think I cried too many times I just need some more affection Anything to get me by
A hundred million stories And a hundred million songs I feel stupid when I sing Nobody's listening to me Nobody's listening I talk to shooting stars But they always get it wrong I feel stupid when I pray Why the fuck am I praying anyway? If nobody's listening
Anyone, please send me anyone Lord, is there anyone? I need someone, oh Anyone, please send me anyone Oh, Lord, is there anyone? I need someone Oh, anyone, I need anyone Oh, anyone, I need someone
A hundred million stories And a hundred million songs I feel stupid when I sing Nobody's listening to me...
Tão cansada de tudo... Até de mim mesma...

In Disney romance is dead.
My advice for anyone who loves a good romance - you won't find it in Disney.
They are known for making some of the most romantic animated films of all time - Beauty and The Beast (90s version) is a classic example.
But recently Disney have been pouring cold water on romance in their movies.
And, believe it or not, the rot began waaay back in 2010 with of all things Alice in Wonderland.
It was a delightful film. Most of all I loved the chemistry between Mian Wasikowska's 'old soul' Alice and Johnny Depp's charming but tormented Tarrant Hightopp (aka Hatter).
I was saddened when at the end she returned to 'real life' and to a life without romance, but heartened when they announced a sequel...only for Alice to once again leave Wonderland, this time for a reason I found appalling - to look after her mother, an unpleasant woman who showed little affection for Alice - and she also had another daughter she was much closer to.
Any reason to keep Alice and the Hatter apart for ever.
And please - don't start with the 'Johnny is too old for Mia' crap, because this isn't about Johnny and Mia, but Alice and the Hatter, and Alice was the more mature one!
But, since AiW I have noticed bit by bit romance in Disney productions is dying.
Mulan - the live action version removed the romantic lead.
Star Wars - Han and Leia's relationship had come to an end. Finn/Rose is quashed in TROS.
And of course, 'Goddess of Jedi Dogma Rey'......doesn't need a boyfriend. Doesn't need anyone and anybody, apparently.
Now it has happened with Loki.
Loki, Thor's tormented God of Mischief, will spend eternity trapped in a tree with no one to love him. Because these days it seems that there is no redemption but death.
Waaaay back in my 20s I was an avid reader of the Dragonlance books. My favourite character was Raistlin Majere. Physically frail but incredibly strong willed and powerful, I pitied and despised him in equal measures when I first started reading the books, but my opinion changed dramatically when he did one thing.
As the heroes were escaping danger Raistlin suddenly went back, to his friends' chagrin, and returned with - Bupu, the little gully dwarf who had been their guide. And who the big, strong men - had completely forgot about. And the only one willing to risk his life to save her was Raistlin.
I started to love his character then.
Probably one of the most tragic figures in fantasy I desperately wanted Raistlin redeemed. Don't get me wrong - he did some terrible things. But, it all came from a place of pain. And I wanted him to get a 'happy ending'. Because this is fantasy folks - and if you can't find happy endings in make believe, where can you find them?
But ultimately....he didn't. I was devastated.
But, there was always Star Wars.
Not anymore.
The Skywalkers are all dead, along with Han Solo. And apparently Adam Driver confirmed in a recent interview Ben aka Kylo...was never meant to be redeemed. That he was meant to die evil.
And also...Harrison Ford actually didn't want Han to die in TFA. Despite years ago wanting to kill his character off, Ford over the years mellowed a lot to him.
Abrams wanted him to die at his son's hands so we, the audience, would hate Kylo. That we would cheer his death. That we would embrace Rey as his replacement.
But they made a drastic mistake.
Because Rey - is a bore.
She may tick the boxes but she is frankly utterly unmemorable as a hero. She's an archetype.
The most memorable character was Kylo. And the 'reylo' romance was the highlight of the ST. No matter how much Finn fans moan. No matter how much the 'woke' criticised it. Because Rey was at her most interesting when interacting with Kylo.
And it wasn't just we fans of it who noticed it - Rian Johnson did.
And the critics did.
But, Disney refused to listen and gave us TROS. Now they intend to continue with their soulless heroine in a new film, or series of films, whilst removing the prince from their forthcoming LA Snow White.
Why?
To satisfy #metoo, who apparently were the 'consultants' on the LA Little Mermaid? Which underperformed at the BO?
Frankly, to quote Rhett Butler ....I myself don't give a damn.
Bad enough that Raistlin had a sad ending. Bad enough Loki did. But Star Wars, the film series that had at its heart a message of hope - sorry Disney, SW was the last straw. I loved it for forty plus years. I was 12 when I first saw it. I was 54 when I watched it die with TROS.
Disney turned Lucas's saga into a horror story. And it was meant to be a fairytale.
Fairytales have happy endings. Real life is often heartbreaking and disappointing. Fairy Tales are our escape.
Disney, once the master of fairtales....have completely crushed them.
No romance. No love. No forgiveness.
No redemption but death.
If all someone can expect is that....why bother 'turning good'? Why bother at all?
Comment from a poster on the JCF:
ST suffered from no plan, but they still work. Rey came out alright and will grow in popularity when her next movie comes.
Will she? I wonder.
Rey was completed screwed up as lead character. She could have been fascinating and complex but instead she ended up a judgemental, overpowered Mary Sue. Even Finn had more potential for character growth, and I say this as someone who isn't fond of John Boyega post the ST.
The best thing about Rey Fakewalker is that Daisy has a natural charm which carried her character. But even that couldn't save Rey in TROS. DLF made a bloody awful film which was little more than an attempt to scream at the audience that we must adore Rey, Rey, Rey, and everyone else just wasn't important. We all know what they did with Ben, but both Finn and Poe were ruined as well - the latter was reimagined as a Han clone, the former turned into a laughing stock. As I have said before, if you have to push your leading man/lady at the cost of all the other cast members, then said lead just isn't interesting enough in the first place.
Rey was at her best when interacting with Kylo. The critics saw it. Rian Johnson saw it. The audience saw it.
DLF saw it....and ignored it. Throughout the entirety of TROS, the film only sparkled when Adam and Daisy were together onscreen. The new Trio had nothing of the chemistry shown by Hamill, Ford and Fisher in the OT. But, what DLF have decided to do is not learn by their mistakes.
Instead of resurrecting Ben and making a new TV series or film with him in the leading role, instead of retconning TROS and bringing back the flawed Rey we all liked so much, they intend to enshrine in stone the worst film in the ST and continue with Mary Rey Sue.
The problem is...her story is told. Does the audience really want to see yet another tedious 'look how AMAZING REY SKYWALKER IS?' film? Do they really want to see her continue her journey to godhood?
I think not. I've seen plenty of fed up SW fans outside the forums - and on the forums as well. DLF have already taken a lot of flak from TROS, Indy 5, The Little Mermaid. The films weren't exactly flops but they underperformed. And you can't keep spending billions making films which underperform. Their forthcoming woke Snow White is being blasted before it has even been released.
REy's character declined in popularity with TROS. Those of us who liked her, defended her, argued she wasn't a Mary Sue....DLF spat in our faces and instead made everything her detractors said about her...true. They treated reylos like crap. They destroyed the love many of us had for Rey.
There is nothing left of her to identify with. Or like. She isn't Luke, or Paul Atreides. She's living Jedi dogma.
There is nowhere they can go with her now. In fact, I really can't see much of a future for SW in general post TROS. Rebels, Mando, KOTOR....all good, but the Skywalker Saga was the beating heart of SW.
And DLF killed it.
This poster from the JCF raises an interesting point:
The ST was never really a finale of the saga. TROS was a finale of that trilogy, but not of the entire thing. It was the finale of the Skywalker bloodline, but not of the whole light vs dark battle. It never gave us closure at all. By doing more movies set in that time period (albeit 15 years later), they have a chance to truly give closure to the whole lightside vs darkside and somehow Rey can be a vehicle for the Skywalkers (the TRUE Skywalkers) to put an end to this from ghost form. Perhaps she is the Aragorn to the Force ghosts' "army of the dead" needed to battle the spirits of dark siders. That would be a cool concept. I hope Filoni helps the writers of the new movies to go all in on the mythology.
This could have been done in the ST. But, it should have been done by Ben - working with Rey. As we reylos said all along, the balance of the Force should have been found within both of them, putting an end once and for all to the endless light/dark conflict. Rian Johnson saw this, in fact he pushed it throughout the film, with Snoke berating Ben for having too much of his father's heart and Luke berating Rey for her attraction to the Dark Side.
TROS had a golden opportunity to create a new era for SW. Instead it threw it all away on the altar of Terrio's fanfiction and Kennedy's wokery. And I'm sorry but it's too late to do it now - unless they bring Ben back. Which they refuse to do.
So, Kylo never really hurts anyone in his command, except Hux. Kylo tosses him around, threatens him and other things alike, but or the most part you never see Kylo killing anyone under his command.
So let compare this to Vader who kills people left and right that are under his command without a second thought.
So you're telling me that Kylo Ren who never killed any of his men (excluding Snoke, he was a cruel to Ben) is worse than Darth Vader? The guy who killed younglings to save his wife. Ben killed Snoke to save the girl he hardly knew but still felt something for.
And let's not forget the argument that Ben is a "school shooter" in terms of the antis, but what is interesting about that argument is that it fails to mention Ben was defending himself from his class mates. They thought Ben killed Luke intentionally, and when Ben tried to explain that Luke pulled a lightsaber on Ben the students didn't believe him, and in turn attacked him.
So yeah, Kylo has done bad shit, I won't deny that, but in comparison to Vader, Kylo just seems more tame.
People want to believe that Kylo is worse than Vader because he killed Han, but what they forget (or rather like to ignore) is that Vader too killed his “father.” In Attack of the Clones, Anakin said that Obi-Wan was like a father to him, so Darth Vader killing Obi-Wan is on the same level as Kylo killing Han. The only difference is, Kylo is haunted by that act. Snoke acknowledges that, saying that the act “split your spirit to the bone.” And Rey feels it too. “I can feel through the cracks in your mask. You can’t stop seeing what you did to your father. You’re haunted by it.” Vader, on the other hand, feels no remorse whatsoever. He just continues to live his life acting like nothing happen.
Also, The Force Awakens novelization makes it quite clear that Kylo wanted nothing to with Starkiller Base. He didn’t work on it, overseeing it or anything. In fact, he tried to stop Snoke and Hux from firing it! His only connection to it was being stationed there on Snoke’s orders. But Vader was actively taking part in the construction and oversight of both Death Stars! Kylo didn’t want to murder billions of people, whereas Vader actually did.
So, dear antis, tell me again how Kylo is worse than Vader?
Yeah, Vader is 100 times worse than Kylo Ren. He actively helped to commit genocide and murdered a room full of children during Order 66. He then spent the next 23 years committing atrocities.
Though, the thing about Vader not feeling remorse isn’t entirely accurate… he does feel some remorse/conflict over what he did during Order 66 plus killing the Separatist leaders, but he feels that he’s in too deep and can’t turn back by that point.
Also I don’t think Kylo killing Han and Vader killing Obi Wan are that comparable as Vader killed Obi Wan during a duel (and they were on opposing sides by the time it happened) while Kylo killed Han in cold blood.
Vader isn't actively shown feeling remorse in the movies themselves, though and that is one problem I have with the OT. His redemption seems out of nowhere because he appears to be a stone cold killer until the last few minutes. Whereas Kylo is actively shown to have guilt over killing his father. Both Snoke and Rey know he's feeling conflicted. Snoke even says the act split Kylo's spirit to the bone.
Yes, Vader and Obi-Wan were in the middle of a duel, but Obi-Wan had raised his saber so that the blade was up. He actively made the choice not to fight Vader anymore. Yes, he knew he was going to die, but that still doesn't absolve Vader of guilt as he still made the choice to kill a man who was no longer fighting him. So he too killed his "father" in cold blood.
Fatos...

TROS is a hitman which not only destroyed SW but all leading characters in the ST
Here's my Top Ten:
10. Snoke.
Yes, Snoke. Throughout both TFA and TLJ it was very much stressed that he was NOT a Sith. His eyes were blue, not yellow. Instead, TROS 'reimagined' him as a cloned puppet of the Emperor. Who was as bad at cloning him as he was with Rey's father, as for some reason the clones were all disfigured.
9. Rose. She had a great role in TLJ, and her character was completely stripped of her importance and reduced to a single line. And I refuse to believe it was because of Carrie's untimely death.
8. Holdo. Even though she died in TLJ, her character's self sacrifice was presented as an object of ridicule in TROS, which isn't only unfair but petty and childish.
7. Hux. He could - and should - have been the 'big bad' of the sequel's final chapter, but no, Hux is unceremoniously killed off five minutes into the film and prior to that revealed as a Resistance 'mole' - this goes completely against everything he was. Hux loathed the Resistance with a passion, it was completely out of character for him to join them, just to get rid of Kylo - there were plenty of ways to 'off' him without turning traitor.
6. Poe. Rian Johnson did a great job with Poe, he became more than a Han Solo wannabe in TLJ. Instead of becoming Leia's heir he was turned into a seedy drug runner - he was supposed to be the son of legendary Rebels, FFS!
5. Luke. Remember how angry he was when Obi Wan admitted he'd lied to him about who his father was? He told Rey he didn't know her in TLJ. Now, apparently, he DID but had kept the truth from her. Luke is now a liar, full stop.
4.Finn. He had a great character arc in TLJ. All that was gone in TROS, his 'grand announcement' that he had the Force was a damp squib and all he was good for was running around screaming 'REEEEEEEEY'. I'm genuinely stunned JB calls TROS his 'favourite' of the sequels....but there ya go.
3. Rey. Our likeable, feisty, gloriously flawed 'nobody' is completely deconstructed into a snotty, self righteous, judgemental little space nun. She was like an evil reflection of herself. The Rey we were introduced to in the first two films wept for Han Solo (although she'd only known him five minutes), longed for a family, lost her temper and was called out on it, and most of all was human. What is particularly irksome is post TFA Abrams insisted that she was 'not a Skywalker'....and then they made her one anyway.
TROS Rey was an emotionless two legged example of Jedi dogma. She actually gave me the creeps.
2. Kylo Ren/Ben Solo. Poor Kylo. Even more, poor Ben. He went through a complete character reversal in the first part of the film. Where like Snoke, it was stressed he was not a Sith, in TROS he made deals with them. When it was insisted upon that he was not Darth Vader, he acted just like him complete with that ridiculous mask.
The final part of the film when Ben returns should have been glorious. Instead, he spent most of it down a hole while Rey got the 'glory' of killing her grandad. No dialogue. No role in destroying his family's old enemy. And then....poof. Gone. Ben Solo's only legacy is that he 'gave Rey back to the galaxy.'
And she didn't even tell anyone.
1 Leia.
And....the number one is our beloved Princess, Leia Organa.
The cruelest character assassination of them all is that of Leia, child of Anakin and Padme, sister of Luke, husband of Han Solo, mother of Ben Solo, adopted daughter of Bail Organa, Senator, warrior, courageous leader and General of the Resistance.
Re imagined by Terrio's loathsome fan fiction as being in an afterlife GoT style incestuous relationship with her brother. And a woman who didn't give a damn for her own child.
TFA Leia made mistakes. Like her husband, she was afraid of her son being like his grandfather. She left him to be raised by droids. She sent him away at nine.
But...TFA Leia knew she'd made mistakes. She admitted that she never should have sent her son to Luke. And she wanted him back. Desperately so.
We could forgive TFA Leia because she knew she was wrong and owned up to it - as did, in fact. all of the OT cast. And we could forgive her for sending Ben to Luke, because TFA and TLJ Leia didn't know how to train him in the ways of the Force. Leia was NOT a Jedi. She didn't know how to train Ben, so thought it a good idea to send him to someone who did.
That however was TFA and TLJ Leia. The Leia I loved and believed in.
TROS introduced her to someone I didn't recognise.
TROS Leia DID have Jedi training. She might have quit, but she had enough knowledge to be able to train Rey. Train her well enough to fight and almost kill Kylo. AKA Ben.
AKA the child Leia had given birth to.
TROS Leia had sent her emotionally vulnerable nine year old away so she could focus on her career, despite having the ability to train him herself. She then trained the woman who she knew might very well kill him, and after her death...'took him with her into the Force'.
Her FG is later seen smiling fondly on Rey. It wouldn't have been quite so bad - although I still would have hated it - if Ben's FG had been beside her and we would have seen him with his mother. But, no.
According to a source Terrio wanted the 'final scene to be all about the Skywalkers.'
Rey is a Palpatine. I will never see her now as anything else. And Leia had the Skywalker blood, but she was an Organa and then a Solo.
Terrio and perhaps Abrams, made sure that everything of Ben's went to Rey. His grandfather's lightsabre. His father's ship. Whatever relationship he had with Chewie. Luke's respect.
And....Leia's love.
What a terrible, terrible way to treat Leia. And how they disrespected Carrie, a mother in real life to Billie Catherine, with this abominable assassination of her most well loved role.
TROS is an abomination. I will never be able to understand why they chose to retcon TLJ....yet leave this horror story as set - in - stone canon.
