A lot of the satellite footage of Gaza and Lebanon that you see in the media looks like this
And while that is obviously horrifying to me, I think people ho are still in deep denial can sort of pretend to themselves that there must have been a very big battle there, or a massive fire, or one really big bomb. The 'oh we were fighting Hamas/Hezbollah' bullshit can somehow be wielded to stay in that deep denial.
So I think they should be showing more shit like this:
Like, this makes it pretty clear that it's every house. Systematically. Can you convince yourself that Hezbollah was in EVERY house? For real? Or is it time to start facing that the IDF is deliberately going from house to house destroying a civilization?
[ID: Areal before and after photos. In the first we see a small city center, before and after it being destroyed. In the second we see a more spread out network of roads and houses, before and after the houses where destroyed, including some houses far away from everything else. End ID]

Yet another new study debunked the basis for the anti-trans sports bans. It was never about sports but for creating legal avenues for exclusion and abjection. This is one of the largest analyses ever conducted, involving 52 studies and 6,485 trans people. Read the study here.
post so nice had to reblog it twice and force it down everyone's throats
Genuinely so nice to see another study like this published!
Especially after the stupid Olympics decision to ban trans and intersex women from competing in women's sports. It's been frustrating me that there's all this bullshit push for transphobia under the guise of "making space for women in sports". That's really not what it's about and at the end of the day, this strict policing hurts cis women too. If any woman is too good at her sport, or too tall, or too built, ah well surely she must be Not A Woman somehow. That's completely absurd! (And notice how the reverse is never scrutinized for men?) Especially for super high level sports that are full of exceptional people, including genetically so. Yet the image of a very specific (cis white) woman keeps grtting pushed instead of reevaluating why we separate sports by sex instead of something more relevant like ability or size.
please consider writing to Prarieland defendants Autumn Hill and Meagan Morris, they are both trans lesbians incarcerated in men's prisons for protesting an ICE facility
prosecution established affiliation by way of defendants having fucking anarchist zines, the kind of shit you see in a punk house. this is what they want and are willing to pursue for all of us who aren't willing to lay down and die, imprisonment and torture and the absolute stripping of our dignity (the govt gleefully included their deadnames in a press release yesterday; Morris' public defender has consistently deadnamed and misgendered her despite her legal name change)
there is no one who will protect us except us, and if our sisters are lost to us and forgotten as soon as they are grabbed by the prison system (ie if the system is allowed to work as intended) then we are failing, and we are woefully unprepared for a world where they start taking more of us
Autumn is a loving wife and is interested in religious history and mythology. Write to her at FMC Fort Worth.
Meagan Elizabeth Morris is loved by her wife housemates, and dogs. Her name was legally changed in 2007, but the federal complaint used her

I’m gonna grill up some brats. I got a microbrew chilling in my wet bar, and I was gonna warm up some ziti. Why don’t you come by if you got some, uh, triple-fried pizza dough or some kind of frozen meatballs or whatever it is? You can warm it up in my microwave, or you can warm it up back at home, bring it over piping hot. But if you want to bring over a vegetable medley, a crudités, figure out how much lunchmeat you can spare. Maybe bring over a pound and a half, two pounds of black forest ham, maybe a dijon-mustard spread. Any kind of dessert. Maybe a german chocolate cake or something like that. I tell you what would make you a big hit with the dudes is get some key lime pie a la mode. I’m talking about ice cream on the side. And you have got to have a bite of my homemade ziti. I’m just gonna warm her up. She’s been in the freeze. You know what I love are those hot mozzarella sticks. Cube ‘em up, put ‘em in some marinara sauce. You have them on standby. ‘Course, you can’t go wrong with some sour cream and onion, so long as you bring ridged chips.

I fear… “uhauling” yet another relationship out of fear, out of excitement due to desperation. To respect myself and to respect others, I must take it slow building relationships to truly learn about the people I am around.
This is the tough thing about creating a queer space; I don’t know how to say obvi it’s OK to date etc but to relate to everyone to be mindful of how they’re respecting the group and individuals. But I hope my own anxieties from jumping in” to relationships and “hook up culture” are not just my own projections.
I suppose, the queer bar scene and hook up spaces exist far more down here than do the quiet, walk, softly talk, swim, and rest spaces. Nd for that I hope it’s OK to have these types of expectations. Because I don’t feel like I can always relate to the nightlife scene. Where’s the spaces for platonic daytime connection?
Just writing out my thoughts. Hard trying to be a leader, need some help from everyone!
Also the importance of building habits and structure through long term persistence and self forgiveness is more important than the gratification of quick results in almost every aspect of life just FYI
