Have you checked around the forest? Maybe Christmas is hiding there! Or is there another place she would run off to?
“I have seen her around the border recently.. I should check there next.”
“Come on, Taps!” With a soft nudge, he urges his reindeer forward, racing towards the winter kingdom’s border.
As the sound of hooves hitting the ground slows, he hesitates, looking unsure.
“I thought our border was closer..”
Suddenly, the clear smokey sky begins to darken, thunder casting off in the distance as a familiar organ sting plays. The deer he was riding on struggled to stay still.
A booming deep voice calls out from the sky, bats circling the prince.
“I’m sure by now, you have noticed the lack of your dear, dear Princess. Don’t be afraid… I know exactly where she is. Come to the Autumn Palace, alone.”
“Halloween- can’t we talk face to face-..?”
Eve calls out into the storm, trying to pull Tapper’s reins to calm the deer. It was panicking, trying to run away from the loud organ overture.
The voice interrupted him, shaking the snow from the trees.
“You have until the autumn’s equinox to fetch her, lest you never see your sister again.”
The voice took on a mocking tone, echoing throughout the darkened forest.
It trails over into a menacing evil laugh, lightning striking overhead. Eve looked on with pure terror in his eyes.
“What has she gotten us into this time..?”
