Talking about bringing accessibility to everyone in the world, yet the seventh most spoken language with 284 million speakers gets thrown under the bus. Because who cares if it doesn't bring them enough profit? Accessibility only matters in the countries they can profit off of the most. Not poor, third world countries where millions of children barely have access to quality media and entertainment, because it just won't make the billionaire corporation enough money 🤡

Hello! This is a blog for me to ramble about dubs, international versions and translations of media.

I have fixations on Lady and the Tramp 2 Scamp’s Adventure, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid and some other Disney animal films, so these might be mentioned very often.

To start off, I will share a list of names my favorite Disney character Scamp has around the world!

🌎 SCAMP AROUND THE WORLD 🌎

Arabic: Sahm/سهم — this translates to “arrow”

German: Strolchi — matches Tramp’s German name Strolch

Italian: Zampa in the DVD sequel, Lillo in the 1955 comics. His comic name matches Lady’s Italian name, Lilli!

European Spanish: Golfillo — matches Tramp’s name Golfo

Polish: Chaps

Hungarian: Csibész —translates to rascal

EU and BR Portuguese: Banzé — translates to “rowdy” or “commotion”

Finnish: Pepi

Not too long ago, I was able to get my hands the Lady and the Tramp II script from 1996! I found it on eBay and bought it as soon as I could. Fastest thing I’ve ever done ngl.
