triwizard reunion at the burrow and viktor krum is so tired that he starts rambling in bulgarian and charlie cackles and responds in somewhat fluent bulgarian and viktor literally jumps out of his chair to squeeze onto the couch with charlie so they can chat in bulgarian.

the rest of the weasleys are watching with shock as their nerdy dragon loving brother (who speaks bulgarian??) starts flirting with viktor krum and it's working.

jack kidd, air exec of the 100th bombing group, was a fucking badass.

this man. good lord.

he was the air exec of the 100th for about a year. a twenty‑four year old lieutenant colonel.

near the end of the war, after being shipped back home, he was the director of operations and training at a gunnery school in las vegas.

after the ussr decided to cut off rail & road links through ussr-occupied germany - the way that western-occupied berlin was supplied and fed, jack was called into action in 1949 as the chief of both air traffic control and flight operations for the berlin airlift.

he was 30.

the berlin airlift was a logistical miracle. 277,000 - TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND - flights, delivering almost 2.3 million tons of supplies. these flights were happening 24/7 for MONTHS, regardless of inclement weather. one day, known as the "easter parade", had a record 1,398 flights. for reference, there's only 1,440 minutes in a day. that's a landing every minute. for 24 hours. over 90 tons of cargo was moved.

If youre over the age of 20 and lost all your teen years to mental illness and never got to be normal, or have healthy relationships, went down the wrong path or diddnt have the right nurturing support from BOTH your parents and now you have to sort of catch up on your life whether thats getting your license, getting your GED, starting college, fixing your mental health, or starting things you told yourself to start or try again and again no matter what it is, and trying to fight to live and accomplish shit you FEEL you should have accomplished as a teenager but diddnt have the capacity or insight to care about due to mental illness.

I am so incredibly sorry, and im thankful youre here and alive and trying!!! also;

You are N O T a failure you took your time because you couldnt put more on yourself than you could bear to carry and that is a mark of self care so dont ever feel bad about it

I am so fucking proud of you, youre trying your hardest to get to the top even though it may be harder now, you could have given up but you havent and for that you are victorious and i am in awe of you.
