Sushi King House

Most of you have probably seen this along 65-66th ave on Granville. First of all, let's get this straight. They do not have the biggest sushi in town. Samurai sushi does. Not to rat'em out or anything. Just pointing that out.

Heres what I got,

Their rainbow roll. To be honest, it's not that good. That being said, my expectations for sushi is pretty high. The fish is too tiny to taste what it is. It could be better. The mango does not really fit. . whereas

This. They call it Mango Paradise. It's salmon and mango on top of California roll. Because their sauce is sweet (mango sauce) it goes well with the mango. The salmon adds a nice touch to it. If they were to use tuna, it wouldn't work. Good roll.

Overall, "special rolls" were a bit too expensive in my opinion. But they're overpriced everywhere so I can't really complain. The rolls were too big, compared to the amount of fish they gave. The thing is, there are other sushi restaurants that are around Sushi King and unless the other restaurants are closed, I wouldn't go to Sushi King.

This was takeout, but I have eaten in before.

Atmosphere: mediocre. Everyone does their own thing.

Food: 7.5/10

Price: 8.5/10

Vancouver's Sushi Tag.

Since I eat a lot of sushi, it would be nice to do a review of each restaurant I go to. Good for the 604/778 to check out before going to sushi restaurants.

SUSHI! This local sushi is from a little eatery in the Arbutus Mall

This is my usual tuesday night dinner after an intense session of dance! whew! The prices for the dishes they serve are very low and for the quality you receive, definitely worth it. The mango is fresh without any steaks or fruit tissue and the crab meat is one of the best i’ve ever had! However, the tuna and salmon rolls were quite disappointing because they cut the fish vertically instead of horizontally which is the way that the muscles and connective tissue run.
