I just started pole dancing!
Do you ever go to the gym to lift and see smaller women lifting like 5-10lbs weights for maybe 15 reps and a single set and get frustrated with them? Like why are you even doing that? Maybe it's just me...
Yeah, I think it’s just you and all the other gym douchebags.
For real. Who the fuck do you think you are judging someone for the way they workout? They’re there, trying to better themselves and work towards THEIR goals, not your goals, THEIR goals.
You know, it’s because of people like you that some people wont set foot in a gym. People are so terrified of being judged by cunts like you for what they lift and how they workout that they never even try. I don’t know how you can be happy with yourself knowing that. That’s fucked up.
Perhaps you should put your head down and work towards your own goals instead of worrying about what other people are doing.
bodies require food bodies require rest bodies require attention bodies require patience
This is extremely important to those of us who physically cannot hold our own body weight in a plank for a long time.
Yes! As someone that A. Is recovering from a shoulder injury, and B. weighs more than I can lift, it’s a nice reminder that one day I’ll get there, and I’ll have the proper form!
Ya ever feel like the ideal body type for women was inherently just classism and the perfect way to treat women like trophies because like back when women were Thick™ as an ideal body type the only women who were able to look like that were the rich and today now the type is super thin and the only women who can look like that are the women who don’t work labour jobs and can afford not to have a carb diet so basically men only go for rich women and have changed how they objectify women not because of some biological quirk that shifts their lust but entirely because the form of the most privileged women has changed therefore the best trophy to keep
It literally was. Fat was hype when malnutrition and starvation were common. A symbol of leisure.
Gucci Skinny was hype when malnutrition from cheap food was common and when most of the middle class had desk jobs. Symbol of control over women who now had more rights.
Instagram Fit ™ is hype because most people are overworked and too broke to exercise or eat properly. A symbol of “leisure” and wealth.
Achievement unlocked! Five for five! Took the long way to and from work today😊
Again, taking it fairly easy today. But happy to be cycling😊
Nobody cares what you look like at the gym. Nobody cares what you do at the gym. Nobody cares PERIOD. It’s all in your head.
Took it super easy today because my period was heavy and very crampy (yay, fresh implanon 🙄). I also went for a short walk during my break at work which isn’t included here.
I’ll probably take it just as easy tomorrow, just in case, but it very much depends on how I’m feeling.
you and me both

Goals
Ch-ch-changes
So I’m at a point now with my activity levels where I need to change how I’m eating. It’s not a decision I’ve made, but rather something my body is telling me through levels of satiety, energy, and occasional drops in blood sugar, part-way home on the bike, when I haven’t been listening to it.
My #1 requirement is, and possibly always will be, low-FODMAP foods. I simply cannot deal with what happens to my gut if I ignore this aspect of my body’s functioning. But now I’m finding that I NEED to eat low-GI foods. If I don’t, then I’m simply not satisfied during the day, which leads to snacking on the nearest chocolate bar and not having the blood sugar to get home.
So, I’m working on figuring out how to do this. I’m eating more brown rice, and I’ve started cooking my lunches at work (this book has been seriously awesome), more salmon and more Greek yoghurt with berries for a snack.
I’m feeling a lot less hungry throughout the day, and I’m getting better at reaching for something that’ll last me longer than a chocolate bar when my body tells me it urgently needs SOMETHING in the mid-afternoon.
So far, so good.
I’ve cycled roughly 66km this week. I’m exhausted 😴
Yesterday’s cycling! Not too bad. I was a bit slower on the way home than I could have been because there were literal crowds of pedestrians on the shared paths, but I’m still happy with that!
Today’s cycling! On the right is my trip to work, and on the left is my trip home. You can tell the way home is more uphill!
