So, January 4, 2021 I decided I wanted to get back to where I was. Probably where I was when I started some of this blog, honestly, but that’s beside the point.
Life got busy for me. In 2016, I was in the best shape of my life physically. In the fall, I got sick. Weight started piling back on and I couldn’t exercise like I used to. I went to doctor after doctor trying to figure out answers. Why did I gain 10lbs in three days? Why was I so sluggish? Where had my stamina gone? Each time I was just told to try harder, it’s your thyroid, your medicine is titrated correctly, just work harder blah blah blah. Anyway. I gained about 30 lbs from September 2016 to January 2021. Not the worst, not the best either. In that time I did have some good stuff! Met my husband, we got married in 2019, and then good ole Rona showed up in 2020. I got sick again, this time with Covid, in November of 2020. I had been trying to exercise again prior to this but that all came to a stop. Thankfully I’m okay, and so is my husband. This brings us to January of 2021. With a trip planned in May, I wanted to feel confident in a swimsuit. Not hate how I looked in pictures. Just feel good again in my skin. It had been years since I’d felt good in my own skin (reference 2016...)
