I cannot tell you how wonderful and bizarre it is to see people happily and unironically posting good things about Superman and it's MAINSTREAM. It's like I've been living in a desert for 20 years and then suddenly a waterfall has been dumped on me.

People get it now! It's about choosing to be good! It's about choosing to be kind! The power fantasy is not "man who is powerful." The fantasy is "man who is powerful is GOOD because he CHOOSES to be GOOD." And that is something that is powerful! And something that is DIFFICULT in a world that can so often be cruel. And no it's not "boring." Choosing to be good and kind in a cruel world? That's RADICAL.

Watching the new Superman movie was actually life altering. You mean to tell me Krypto is in it and he’s GORGEOUS and AWFULLY BEHAVED?

Guy Gardner has his ugly asf bowl cut looking thing, Mr. Terrific’s mask is gorgeous, Lois Lane is a mf queen. Did I mention Mily Alcock as Supergirl yet? Because it’s good. It’s so good.

And then there’s also the message and the emotions. People in brightly colored costumes are saving the planet one little squirrel at a time while cussing and telling you it’s punk rock to be kind. Plus, Clark Kent is just a little farm boy whose daddy cries when the world mistreats him. If that isn’t film then I don’t know what is.
