Stayc never misses!! and i love that they never stick to one concept! they're so talented and versatile that it would be a waste if they did. Cheeky Icy Thang was MY song of the summer and I can still listen to it now and feel like an absolute boss!!

I really wanted to replicate the edgy cool vibe of the MV and also I love this picture of Sumin and just knew I had to incorporate it somehow. actually, I had a really hard time trying to decide what pictures to use because if one thing stayc is gonna do... its look gorgeous!!! also, the creative directors are so good at their job... I wish I could make this spread a billion pages long! anyway I cannot wait for their latest comeback! I just know it's gonna hit so hard!!

long time no see... 👉🏻👈🏼

hellooo internet i am back!! long story short, life happened fast and quick and I felt like i grew up more in 4 months than I have in 24 years... but that is a story for another time. For now here is the backlog of all the spreads I had ready to share with y'all.

Last summer I BINGED psych!! and omg where has this been?? I took a break from crime shows for a bit but this show was my perfect gateway back into them! And to top it all off there were so many seasons and episode to watch!!

It was so endearing watching Shawn and Gus' friendship because we all need a friend that's just as self-aware, but equally delusional and Gus. I honestly grew to love the whole cast, I think that's what made the show even worth watching. I also enjoyed how Shawn's skill is not some magical thing but just his dad lmao. Also it was so fun watching the tech slowly evolve like in the show it's self but also the quality of the show just improving as the seasons went by.

This is a show I would go around recommending, but it turns out everyone already watched it and never told me!! I definitely will be rewatching it soon!

Still alive! (Barely)

Hi I’m still alive! Ive actually got a whole back log of posts to put up but I’ve been swamped here! (See pictured). If you didn’t know I’m a pianist at my local theatre and when I’m not teaching classes or rehearsing I’m down here in the archives 😭. It started out as a personal project but somehow every was so glad it was happening I just went in deeper. So Yh works been eating me alive our show starts on the 22nd and it’s such a mess but such is theatre life. Anyway I really hope to get back to journaling soon I just need to figure my life out lmao. I hope you’re all good and healthy. and I’ll see yall very soon 🫶🏼

I think we’re alone now…

I literally had a grading exam the next day but I was so upset about s4 I did this instead (spoilers under cut)

Now when I say I’m upset I feel upset like I just got dumped. It feels like I put so much effort into a relationship that four seasons later means nothing anymore. But before we get into that I just wanna say I love the umbrella academy! We all know Netflix has been on a decline for a while now (in many ways) but I truly believe that tua was one of the last Netflix originals that was actually unique, well produced, worth watching show. But all of that went down the drain in season 4 😭.

A perfect ending would’ve paid homage to the entire shows, the characters and their stories and everything they went through but none of the characters felt like themselves! Luther could have not made an appearance and nothing would’ve changed. His love and yearn for Sloane had ONE mention and brushed off 🤦🏼‍♀️. Alison had a whole new power??? Poor Diego did not deserve anything he went through especially the fat shaming!! Ben? Girl what even was happening there I felt no connection to Jennifer. Klaus my dear klaus, I’m so sorry they enabled you again. Viktor actually had a redemption arc so that was good 👍🏼. Five and Lila?? 🤦🏼‍♀️ that’s a whole other can of worms I don’t need to open right now. The whole story felt rushed and knowing there was supposed to be 10 makes so much sense now. For a show that resonated with a lot of outcasts perhaps maybe it shouldn’t have ended in a collective suicide 😒.

that’s theatre baby!

One thing about me… I’ll watch anything with Jimmy Tatro in it, mans hot.

Anyway finally got round to posting this because my theatre camp ended yesterday, and I really have nothing to do till winter production starts so I’ve been catching up on my journals. Not the biggest fan of how this came out but I was blanking so hard so I kinda just went with it. I have A LOT of green nature vibe stickers and as someone who loves the comfort of their own bed I never really use them. So this was that perfect moment. There was such a good cast in this movie I really wanted to capture them all 😭 it’s times like this where I really regret getting the b5 slim because I feel like my creativity is squandered.

Surprisingly this movie is actually hard to watch in the sunlight but it was so captivating that I just waited till sundown to watch. So in that regard it’s. 4/10

It's the principle of the thing!

I’m back from (a much needed) vacation ☀️ and I finally bit the bullet and watched season 14 of bobs burgers. And by that I mean I rewatched the entire show, for like the 10th time. So I thought I can’t really journal about it because I already have two spreads on the show so I decided to do a character page starting with the dad we all wished we had Bob Belcher 🍔. Obv I had to include his iconic oh my God’s and I finally made use of the fast food stickers I got 3 years ago in Korea 😭. Also pls peep my nails I was so proud of them I did it for the inside out 2 movie 😜

about 4 years ago I decided to mount my tv onto the wall. unfortunately I have one brain cell and the wall is directly opposite the french doors leading to the garden. So now when summer comes the sun causes a blinding glare onto my tv. We only get the sun for like two weeks so it’s not THAT big of an issues but I also watch more tv that the average person so to me it is. It also doesn’t help that EVERY show is SO DARK! The art of lighting??? Lost!

Anyway because of this I am constantly on the hunt for “shows/movies that are visible in the daytime” and that has lead me to watch some out of character, not stuff I would usually watch movies. Such as Poms! Now having no grandparents, I have such a soft spot for old people healing their inner child and this movie was that! It’s an emotional movie for sure but it was sweet. And most importantly, visible!

Watchability in the sun: 8/10

Unfrosted however… Product/Company documentaries(?) need to be stopped! The whole time I watched this I’m thinking, who asked for this? Why did they do this?? The movie has a such a jam packed cast that could’ve been used for literally anything else but no we got a pop tart history lesson. It’s supposed to be a comedy, but it misses every time unfortunately. The only people I’ve seen enjoy it are people who lived in California in the 60s/70s or people with really dry humor, and that’s saying a lot because I’ll laugh at pretty much anything.

Watchability in the sun: 9/10 (but you’re better off not watching it)

yall I did not mean to drop off the face of the earth but I was busy trying to keep myself employed (aka auditioning for Christmas performances) and some how I’ve managed to become lead pianist for 3 shows this winter. So we are booked and busy.

Anyway for one audition I got to choose my own song to perform and I looooove doing a piano only rendition of How Far I’ll Go Reprise. Although it’s my literal career I don’t actually play a lot of piano just for fun, the last time I did was to learn this song 🌊

y’all I was not expecting to like this show sm. first time I watched it I was sick and bedridden and just needed some background noise but damn by episode 4 I was wide awake and fully tuned in. Season 2 rolled around and I was like eh, but then episode 4 ends I am SAT. I think I’ve accepted I that I do enjoy this show but it takes me a while to like it again 😂. Season 3 will come around and although they left it on a cliff hanger it will probably take me 4 episodes to get into it LMAO.

If you like lowkey supernatural show you should definitely check it out!

everlasting as the moon

I will not forgive hoyo for giving me Arlecchino in my first 10 pull, and then giving me the wrong weapon TWICE! 😩😩😩.

I’ve had this idea for arlecchino’s spread for ages (another reason I won’t let go of my dying black brush pen). I tried to emulate a “burnt” look on the little red flappy parts by running the aforementioned black brush pen along the edges. Idk if it worked but I’m really happy with how it came out.

The release of arlecchino made me so emotional because I feel like it was only a week ago I was doing the math to see how long I’d have to save up for arlecchino and now she’s here?? Also like Natlan is right around the corner ?? We’ve come so far and I still love this game every bit 🌟 anyway tangent aside here’s a bonus pic of me and Kat in all arlecchino glory

If I have to hear doppelgänger one more time, I'm going to have to learn how to spell it.

back when I was in high school I had to pick a character for an analysis, and so naturally I picked the one and only Damon Salvatore 😌. (I could talk forever about how he was forced to heal and how he was perceived but I’ll spare you all) But seriously supernatural teen shows will never peek the way it did back in the 2010s so I guess I’ll be rewatching these shows forever? Honestly the older I get the more my perspective changes on who’s “right or wrong” and well… I’d probably not be the kindest vampire in mystic falls 😭. Personally my favourite storyline was The Originals, and I usually give up watching somewhere halfway through season 7 when it gets a little too serious 🧐. But I’ll come back to it in like a year or two… so see you then brother 😎

This was supposed to be an Acheron spread but… hsr had other plans 😭 but I’m happy it’s welt because now I only need himeko to complete the astral expresss crew. Also after that iconic line in the 2.2 quest it’s kinda impossible not to love him. And the Welt Yang lore goes hard! Ngl this spread was lowkey hard because I could not think of a color palette for welt and eventually settled for… this??? Another upside of getting welt? I was guaranteed Boothill (spread incoming)

One of my favourite one things about journalling is lettering! So much so that I even took a typography class once in college. Idk if it’s a synesthesia but I can associate a lettering style to pretty much anything so it’s really satisfying to actually draw it out and see come to life. It doesn’t always go to plan but isn’t that just the circle of life?? Also you’re gonna have to rip my white gel pen from me because I use that guy whenever and where ever I get a chance!

spread for my queen Wendy! Icl she kinda ate with that one line. I found this blue grid paper and I knew it was gonna be perfect for this spread! I’m actually pretty happy with the way this turned out, I got to get out some old stickers and stuff and it was really nice to use stuff up instead of hoarding it lmaoo. If you’re reading this it’s your sign to try using something you’ve been saving for that “special occasion”.

summer’s here and everyone is dropping happy party songs… not mico tho. It’s been a rough couple of weeks and I didn’t really feel like proper journaling bcz I have no motivation but I got a bunch of new stickers that I wanted to try out so this was a result of that. I know I should feel more excited about summer coming (especially after the 8 months of constant rain) but now as an adult who doesn’t get a summer break summer doesn’t feel special any more?? Is that just adulting lmao
