The left wing of fascism everyone. Running enough cover for the genocide by confusing and disorienting people about the severity of the situation.

Horrific doesn't even begin to cut it. A massacre is horrific, a natural disaster is horrific, a plane crash is horrific, this is more destructive than a mere outburst of violence or a storm or an unfortunate accident. It is not an unfortunate and temporary deviation from some norm, this is the wholesale destruction of an entire nation of people through bombings and starvation.

What else do you call that but genocide?

Your tags describe exactly what people mean when they say Israeli law and, in fact, Zionism (even Liberal Zionism -- like that of Sanders) is rooted in "Jewish Supremacy".

You know that in Israeli law, Jewish people (whether by ethnicity or religion) are granted special privileges. Arab citizens of Israel are second-class at best, and there are many social and legal categories below that.

You're also right that it's not about Judaism itself. It's not based in Judaism nor religiously mandated.

To describe Israeli law and policy and Zionist ideals as "Jewish Supremacy" is a critique of Israel and of Zionism.

The context of this post and of Sanders's comments is -Israel-. Everyone knows that. And that's a place where being Jewish gets you a lot of privilege and enormous power, especially over Palestinians. Look at how Jewish people are punished for murdering Palestinians in the West Bank if you doubt me.

Your tags are tone policing. It's the over-application of accusations of antisemitism that -has- entitled Israel to commit genocide, right here and right now.

Look at Mohammed El-Kurd's personal history:

He lives in East Jerusalem, was born under Israeli occupation, his home was taken by Israeli settlers who were allowed to do so because they were Jewish. It's not his fault that the people who took his home were Jewish and did so through the philosophy of Jewish Supremacy.

It's interesting how a major subject of El-Kurd's body of work is that Palestinians are criticized more harshly for naming their oppression than Israel and its supporters for committing/enabling that oppression.
