FIRST POST/INTRODUCTION <3

Hiii, I’m Mae and I’m a prominent Monoshin author on AO3! You might know me from some of the fics mentioned below :). I wanted to come on here so I could share fic ideas and post updates for ongoing fics.

You’ll have to forgive me for my lack of knowledge on how to use this platform as it is new to me but my dear friend @bloxxycore recommended I join to put my writing out there. So, so excited to interact with other writers/monoshin fans <3

I love that since Monoma and Shinso are both *technically* considered side characters (much to Monoma’s dismay), they get grouped together a lot in promos and official art

Like look at these goobers oh my god 😭😭 not a thought going on in those big ass heads.

People keep asking me how I’m getting the summer vibes so right on It Comes in Waves when guys…. It’s summer and I’m currently living on the California coast with surfers right outside my dorm window. I literally swim in outdoor pools for a living! This is literally my shit!!

And tell me why Monoshin isn’t even a rarepair but I still find myself doing this 😭

Imagine if My hero had more focus on characters with atypical quirks? Like the story from the perspective of Monoma because he "has a side character power" or Shinso because he "has a villain power" and how these characters would try to break the expectations placed on them and shine in spite of that.

Now sure I love my buddy Deku however once he joined U.A. he wasn't quirkless and only bakugo brought up that he didn't always have a quirk for all intents and purposes he had the most standard heroic power with a draw back that lasted just a few seasons.

Like for monoma how power of friendship is it that this character enteres a fight only with the powers granted to him by his friends and allies so that he can get the chance to also take the bad guys power and use it against him.

I just think there's a story waiting to be told

Monoshin Pirates of the Caribbean (?) AU

Pirate Monoma who’s known across the sea as Phantom Thief and is infamous on land and on the ocean for his robberies and his preference for working alone without a crew.

Noble Shinso who’s the son of a wealthy governor that’s holding a gala one night. He’s supposed to be there to begin his courting journey in finding a spouse but his eyes lock on a beautiful blond boy in the finest (stolen) silks he’s ever seen and he can’t get him out of his head.

They dance around each other all night before colliding. Monoma obviously already knows who he is because he’s a professional but still waltzes with him to extract information about where the finest jewels are kept in his estate.

Later that night Monoma hides on the property until the staff have gone to sleep and sneaks into Shinso’s bedroom to steal riches and jewelry. He’s caught since Shinso wakes up but he gets the wrong idea and instead only remembers him as the boy from the gala and thinks he’s come to sleep with him. Chaos ensues.

Been thinking a lot about werewolf Shinso and Vampire Monoma……

W!Shinso whose blood is full of way more proteins and vitamins because it has to nourish his constantly changing body, and his skin is thicker than most because of it.

Meanwhile V!Monoma who gets absolutely buzzed on his blood every night and comes out looking healthier and brighter because of it. He stays with Shinso during full moons because he’s the only one he trusts not to be intimidated by his wolf form🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️
