Prologue

Sigyn was dreaming, remembering an untold part of a story. She was kneeling beside Loki, who was chained to rocks. She hated him, and she hated Odin; they were both betrayers, of her and each other. She threw aside a bowl and summoned runes with all her power. His chains broke, and she whispered to him, “Kill everyone.”

Sigyn woke up. She looked at Loki, who was sleeping next to her. She didn’t know why she was so mad at him in her dream. She had an idea of why she was mad at Odin. She sighed and went back to sleep.

I consider a person pro-choice if they believe in legal access to abortion at any point during the pregnancy, for any reason. That’s the biggest thing. You wouldn’t be pro-choice if there’s some reason or some time when you think the person shouldn’t have a choice. That’s basic.

But I also believe there’s a certain mindset that goes with being pro-choice.

To be pro-choice is to unconditionally support the pregnant person and their choice.

To be pro-choice is not judge, shame, or otherwise disparage a person for making the choice they did.

To be pro-choice is to not berate the pregnant person with things they “should’ve”, “could’ve”, or “would’ve” done instead.

To be pro-choice is to treat the pregnant person with dignity and decency.

To be pro-choice is to respect and advocate for the pregnant person and their choice, no matter what that choice may be.

You can label yourself whatever you wish, I’m not telling you what to do or what to think. Only what I believe.

It’s also important to point out that being pro-choice:

1. Does not mean you believe every and all pregnant people should have abortions. 

2. Does not mean you necessarily like abortion. 

3. Does not mean you would actually have an abortion yourself.

All it means is that you think the only time your opinion matters is when you are the one who is pregnant, and that you support pregnant people’s choices. 

All it means is that you want abortion to be available as an option, and that you want people to have the choice to select that option if they feel it is the best one for them.

I support people who choose abortion. I support people who choose to be a parent. I support people who choose to give up their baby for adoption. I support people who choose to adopt. I support people who choose to never have kids. I support people choosing to have many kids. I support every and all choices regarding kids and parenting as long as it is the right choice for you. I support you. Regardless if I understand your choice, regardless if I would make the same choice, regardless of how you made that choice, I support you, because I am pro-choice.

Hence the word “pro-choice.”

I am pro-women’s natural right to autonomy and against women being treated like property. However, I am not for over-population or people wanting to do whatever the hell they want and expecting other people to pay for it. Women’s issues are not the same as breeder’s issues.

it blows my mind whenever anybody who wants to disprove larry uses the “if you’re a real fan you would BELIEVE what they tell you@!!!” line. as a consumer, i have the right to look critically at the media i’m consuming, and that includes movies, television, music, and the people behind those things. one direction isn’t just a band. it’s not just four dudes playing pubs, busking, playing bar mitzvahs. they’re a multi-million dollar franchise, a brand, and what they do affects the hundreds of people that work for them and the people that they work for. it’s insulting to my intelligence to assume that i’m going to blindly invest my time and money into something without questioning its motives and the motives of everyone involved, especially when we have time and time again received tangible proof that things aren’t exactly as they say they are. they’re trying to SELL us something and as a consumer i don’t have to believe everything every commercial on tv says, so why should this be any different?

The Electoral College and political parties were supposed to prevent people like Trump from getting nominated (and elected). The Founding Fathers did not intend for people to be directly elected by the uneducated rabble, the gullible who fall for logical fallacies and red herrings. As we can see, the system has failed at the party level, and the Electoral College is also presumably pointless in this regard.

People who don't have children benefit our environment more than any campaign

The global population is growing rapidly, while the resources we depend on to live are dwindling. If you consider the footprint each person makes on the world – in terms of food and water consumed, electricity and gas used, and waste produced – the challenge of improving living standards while protecting natural resources and the environment is striking. The question of human population size is fundamentally one of sustainability, and in that so is the choice to have children.

Basic logic that no one wants to talk about.
