Announcement!

Hi lovely people! Today I impulsively published my first book, a small poetry pamphlet called ‘scripture of (un)holy youth’. This collection is really close to my heart and explores adolesence and growing up through the imagery and metaphors of the Catholic Church!

A lot of it draws on personal experience or things I’ve been told, and it heavily focuses on mental health, growing up queer, class, and social status! 

Poetry has always been a huge part of my life and I want to share my passion with all of you! Every reblog helps even if you can’t buy the book! Love you all!

I'm loving your time travel phm fic!!!! Was going to yap in the ao3 comments but it was a bit lengthy so here I am :P

Okay now I'm not saying I think this is where the fic is going, and truth be told I don't think I want it to go this way? BUT. If I was you, the author, I would honestly be planning something unbelievably devious (I also write so I know All Authors Are Evil). I would want to make it so that Grace does something like overwork himself too much, or take on a risk and is accidentally injured so that right before launch he is deemed unfit to go. And then we get this deliciously cruel mirroring of the original plot where Grace was forced to go and runs away, but now he's desperately running towards it.

What was once his gleaming unwavering fate has been warped unknowingly by his own hand. Ourgh. It makes my stomach turn just thinking about it, which makes my writer brain tell me that it's perfect.

Anyway, your fic is wonderfully written and I love it and I hope both sides of your pillow are cold <3<3

“write whatever you want, unless it’s…”, “draw whatever you want, unless it’s…” no, actually, when I say write/draw whatever you want, I mean write whatever you want, draw whatever you want. no buts. no “unless it’s…” censorship has no place in art.

art can be about taboo subjects. art can deal with something socially unacceptable. art can disturb and disgust. art doesn’t have to be for everybody.

tag your warnings so that people who might be triggered by your art don’t accidentally get exposed to it and you’re all good.

and if people try to shame you for the art you create because it’s “problematic” then you can tell them to fuck off and mind their own business. they read the warnings. they choose to read and engage with your art on their own free will. that’s not your problem.

dark fics and macabre art do not—have never, and never will—reflect artists’ in-real-life moralities.

harassing artists, real people, over fictional things will never make you “morally superior”. it only makes you a bully.

again, censorship has no place in art.
