Ilya: I could marry Svetlana to get American citizenship
Shane: and I could commit a murder suicide right now. See how we’re both saying shit
My toxic trait is that no matter what I need three hours to myself at the end of the day to do absolutely nothing.
yuna hollander said “fuck ilya rozanov” to her autistic son and had the audacity to be shocked when he followed her instructions to the letter
Shane: having a whole ass bottomed out existential crisis after coming out to his parents and having thoughts of the future
Ilya:
in 2025, oscar piastri:
- earned his first EVER pole position (and 6 poles total)
- more than doubled his total career points
- more than quadrupled his win total and equaled the win total of his mentor mark webber
- earned two hat tricks and one grand slam
- DRASTICALLY improved his qualifying, bringing his h2h to a nearly 1:1 ratio compared to the 5:1 ratio in his teammate’s favor last year
- has the second highest pole to win ratio in the history of the sport
- held a race-finishing streak that lasted three seasons (44, the second longest in the sport’s history)
- got 8 consecutive podiums (one of only three mclaren drivers to do so alongside aryton senna and lewis hamilton)
- lead the championship for 15 rounds and stayed in contention until the very last race
- forced his way into the championship conversation despite not being a considered a real threat at the start of the season
- has shown tremendous improvements equal to those between his first and second seasons that he will continue to build on going forward
- has given us only a taste of the legendary driver he will grow to be in the coming years
something about verstappies being more sad about gp rumors than the wdc because at the end of the day max has four of them and he will have more but he only has one gp
Congrats to all of us … it sure has been a season
lawrence: "to beat max verstappen, that must make this championship even more impressive for you"
lando: "max and oscar, i don't want you to forget about oscar"
The rookie teammate dynamics seem to be that Kimi's gained a mom, Ollie's gained an older brother, Gabi's gained a controversially older boyfriend, Isack and Liam have gained each other as frat bros, and Franco is in the ninth circle of hell
oscar getting increasingly red the more lando refers to him as cute
I could never be an f1 executive bc I'd sit the top 3 in the cool down room and play the video of Max laughing at McLaren for swapping to both drivers to get their live reaction... but I guess im just built different 😔
Sometimes it feels like you've lived your whole life in a house that's always a little bit on fire. Like it's usually just in one room and you make sure to wet the walls around it so it doesn't spread and that usually works. You were expected to take more responsibility over fire containment when you were like seven because it's not like you can expect your parents to always be 100% on guard about making sure the whole house doesn't catch fire, and you figure that's just how things are like.
And sometimes as a kid you visit your friends' homes and some of then whisper to you - grimacing with embarrassment - about how they're not supposed to tell anyone this, but there's a whole room in their house that's currently on fire. And you're like yeah it's ok I'm not supposed to tell people about the way our house is a little bit on fire all the time, too. And then you visit some other friend's house and there's no trace of fire anywhere, and you think "wow, these people are really good at hiding their house fire."
And one day you show up to work like "hey sorry I'm late, I forgot to wet the walls before going to bed last night and my whole house burned down", and you're startled by the way people react, acting like that must be the worst thing that has ever happened to you. And you're just like "chill, it's been years since the last time this happened, and it wasn't even that bad this time", and that just makes people more shocked, acting like that's the weirdest and most concerning thing they've ever heard anyone say, which only confuses you more.
And then someone tries to explain to you that people aren't supposed to have an ongoing house fire. Most people actually never experience a house fire in their lives. Like not even once. Not even a little bit. The normal amount of having your house be currently on fire is zero.
and that's how you know this movie wasn't written by real f1 fans 🥲 | via
some montreal gp 2025 valentines (with help from the wonderful @verstappten)
These are beautiful 😭
Pierre : I don’t want to talk about it. Esteban: Good, I don’t wanna hear about it.
