He felt himself allow a small smile once he noticed the otherâs more relaxed attitude. It wouldâve made him feel almost guilty for accidentally seeing it.
âI promiseâ and Iâm not one to go breaking my promises. Iâm very honoured youâre trusting me with this then if it means so muchâŠitâsâŠvery nice being able to see your face.â
That felt as awkward as it sounded.
ââŠMhmm, I do. I enjoy looking at the night sky, itâs very calming andâŠa sight many people take for granted, I find. But, if youâre looking for a snack Iâm sorry if Iâm distracting youâŠbut youâre more than welcomed to stay with me and continue to watch the starsâŠtogether.â
"You better keep it! I'm countin' on you, bud!"
Despite his intense answer, Percy laughed, the ring of his voice more carefree than anything. Certainly, he did feel a bit anxious knowing his efforts to keep his secret to only his family had gone to waste and because of such a careless mistake, but there was something relaxing about knowing he could ease up on it as well. This presented an opportunity to not have to worry.
It was certainly... refreshing.
His expression fell to a more neutral state as he listened to Hisame's answer, and Percy's face broke out into a soft smile after a few minutes as he shook his head.
"No, you're not distracting me at all! ...Okay, maybe I am getting sidetracked, but I did stop myself to look at the sky! I can't blame you for something I did, can I?"
He hoped at the very least it would dismiss any concern Hisame had for taking up his time. Besides...
"I'd love to! If you'll have me."
He closed the distance a little bit between the two so that he may stand beside the samurai, though his eyes did quickly move to the sky again as he marveled at it. He let out a quiet, clean whistle.
"I'm sure we'll see a bunch of shooting stars tonight! I hope you've got a wish ready! Blink, and youâll miss your chance."
