    “Hey!” She said a little too loudly to get the other’s attention, “Are you paying attention to what you’re doing? You drop that ingredient in and we’ll burn the cauldron and possibly the whole classroom.” She took the vial away from them. “Where’s your head today? Geez.”

“Oh no, that’s so awful,” Julien replied, his voice void of any emotion as he looked at the girl with a completely bored expression on his face. “Maybe something interesting would finally happen.”

“How about this,” James said, a playful smirk on his lips. “Let’s play a friendly game of Quidditch. It can just be a seeker’s match. If I win, you do my potion’s essay and if you win, I’ll owe you a favor. What do you say, hm?”

“Ari!” Julien let out a melodious laugh as he caught the girl in his arms and spun her around. “Aren’t you always livin’ your best life, mon chéri?”

the last thing ivy wanted to be dealing with is the run up to this goddamn ball. she was sitting alone at the end of one of the tables in the great hall, working her way through her fourth coffee off the morning when the mail arrived and her stack of letters were slapped down on the table in front of her. immediately noticing the stationary style of the letter at the top of the pack, ivy reached into her bag and pulled out her hip flask from her bag that was filled with a lethal mixture of whisky, bourbon and tequila and dumped the full contents into her mug. giving the newly created drink a stir, she dropped in one cube of sugar and lifted the mug to her lips to take a huge swig

“ivy!” julien approached the girl the moment he spotted her and sat down across the table. his brow rose when he saw her pour the contents of her flask into her coffee. “is that the secret of staying warm in norway?” he asked with a chuckle. “where have you been? makes me feel like you’ve been avoiding me,” he pouted.

“I’m not always sure if people like me for me or for my veela charms,” he replied shortly and shrugged. He was more keen on focusing on Hugo. “Oh, Nik!” he exclaimed with a grin. “Yeah, I know him, he’s a sweetheart,” he mused and smiled at Hugo. “That sounds really adorable, honestly... are you sure you don’t want me to talk to him?”
