So sad that I got tickets to see Annie in the afternoon on Indie Bookstore Day AND Local Yarn Store day! By the time Annie is done both will be closed. I think I'll try to stop by my local bookstore when they open though and should be back before we have to leave for Annie!

I cried so hard while watching the latest episode of 9-1-1, it's a good thing I have the day off because I don't know how long I'll need to recover from that

I realize I haven't done a good job of posting my book thoughts on here. But I also don't want to stop posting about what I'm crafting and reading either. So we're going to try a monthly round up instead!

It's my 1 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳

Can't believe I've been on here for a year! I honestly thought it was only for like 6 months.

I ended up with an extra copy of Onyx Storm. I asked my coworkers (all male) if any of them had heard of Fourth Wing, then asked if their partner knew about Fourth Wing. Finally found one who did! Said she liked Fourth Wing but hadn't read Iron Flame yet. So I asked if she would want a copy of Onyx Storm since I did not need the extra I had. She said sure.

I kept forgetting to grab the book on my out of the house. Eventually I looked at it one night and went "I should make a book sleeve and give it to her that way!" I figured it would at least protect the book during transport.

Clearly I did not measure the book or else I would have made it slightly bigger 😅

I jokingly sent a text last night to my friend saying "I wish to call out of work tomorrow for the emotional damage that Onyx Storm has caused me." I was JOKING and yet I actually had to send myself home from work today because Onyx Storm fucked with my mental state so bad that I could not focus and work. Im MAD about this! I have never had this happen before and I wish for it not to happen again

Asking for audiobook recommendations!

Onyx Storm spoilers (I'm currently on Chapter 11)

ATEOS CAN DIE BY STOMACH ACID!

Death by fire is too fast. Death by chewing is also too lenient. I want him gone. I want him dead. The venin are bad but right now I wish for Ateos' untimely death. I don't think I even screamed about Varrish's death as much as I am screaming for Ateos'.

If Malek doesn't want him, where does he go? Does he just wander hell????

Introducing the Caladium Cardigan!

I had the honor of being able to test the adult version of the Caladium Cardigan. It took longer than expected due to life, but also because I had to purl as well. I love working in the round because it makes a sweater knit up pretty fast, but most cardigans are knitted back and forth so hence will take a bit longer that way. It didn't help that I got sick for about a week and a half so had zero energy to be able to even knit in bed. But Cindy, the designer, was very understanding and decided to extend the deadline! I technically missed the deadline by a day, but better a day than a week.

I have honestly loved the finished feel and look of this cardigan. Its definitely the one I reach for while wandering around the house.

I'm currently reading Onyx Storm and saw that B&N had Fourth Wing stickers. So I was planning on making a trip this weekend to go see if I could find the stickers then saw that B&N was having a sale on some hardcovers for 50% off. Decided I wasn't going let my husband miss out on a possible deal on books, so let him decide if he wanted to come with me or not (he did). Didn't find too many hardcovers that we liked (or really any hardcovers on sale in general), but we did end up with a stack ourselves. His stack is the first picture with the Anthony Ryan books and mine is the second picture with the Thea Guanzon books. The fact that we were standing in line with stack of books between us definitely made me happy knowing I married the right guy for me.

I will say, I'm not a fan of doing gauge swatches but I'll attempt to do them for a pattern test. But I absolutely hate doing gauge swatches in the round
