Back because @citrinebumblebee-fr said some things in her tags that've been on my mind recently:
#i know this is about auraboas and more generally rushed artwork and too many errors but like. in general.#i'm not as active on FR as I used to be and the ancients have been coming out WAY too quickly to actually be tenable#I still don't have any *veilspuns* that I like much less any other kind#there have to be better ways to introduce more content to the site than just 'throw another ancient on there'#ESPECIALLY with the rushed lore#I feel like more focus should be put on shoring up the lore that exists. adding more content to do with that.#finish up the beastclan revamps. remember the beastclan revamp(s)? remember those?#focus on adventure mode if you're going to dangle the tidelord over everyone's heads until it releases#also. tidelord. is still gone. has been gone for YEARS of real actual non-game real life time and there has been NOTHING.#you can't just introduce a bunch of dangling threads with BotE and never do a single thing with any of them ever.
Humor me for a second, this is a slight dramatization: but this really feels like one of those things that, like... gets covered at the start of 2 hour youtube essays about "the downfall of [video game/company/etc]." Really dramatic comparison, I know, but I'm sure many people know what I mean. Developers promising way too much and then promising more, and more, and more, and leaving breadcrumbs and hinting at future stories and mechanics and none of it is ever truly brought to fruition before the game eventually dies (which all games do).
FR is doing really well right now, so I'm not saying "this is the death of flight rising!!1!!!" but they are putting way too much on their own shoulders and... it is entirely their fault. That feels really mean to say, I respect the devs a lot for creating such a welcoming and warm place on the internet, but it is their fault.
For the love of god, for the love of this game, SLOW. DOWN. PLEASE.

The first and ONLY Beastclans lore revamp was over a year ago and we have heard NOTHING since. The Auraboas were released three months ago and they STILL haven't gotten their lore rewrite.
Like I said in the OP, something is really really broken behind the scenes. I know this Paisley fiasco is certainly stressing them out right now, but I hope it turns into the thing that makes them realize they've got to slow down on new releases. Please, work on the backend, and dedicate more time to fleshing out the lore and world we already have. The harpy lore revamp was amazing. I know they're capable of great things.
I love this game. I have so many memories on this game. I met one of my best friends because of FR. I want to see it flourish. But it's not going in a good direction right now. Communication is visibly and obviously breaking down, both between the devs and the players, and within the dev team. Something needs to change.
