friendly reminder that petruccio died young and spent most of his 13 year life sick in bed (◕‿◕✿)
"I want to learn how to climb buildings" he sighs and watches from outside his window.
Volpe blinked a bit in response before just chuckling lightly, putting his hands behind his back. “Si, si, I do. I taught them how to move like that,” he responded, smirking once more. The boy was so enthusiastic over his thieves. It probably wasn’t the best thing, but it amused The Fox. He then looked around for a moment, making sure that he couldn’t be seen from where he was. “You should be getting home though, little one. Not wise to be out and about today, especially near me.” He then began to walk down the alley, hands still behind his back. He wasn’t too sure if the boy knew how to get home, but it wasn’t the smartest idea to stay in one place. If guards came by and saw him, he’d have to lose them one way or another, worse yet, the boy might be caught in the middle of it all.
The thief cleared his throat a bit as he walked, hearing the boy’s protests to him leaving. He didn’t respond now, listening to the boy, knowing he was probably following him. He didn’t turn around, he didn’t say anything. Maybe the boy would get it that he wasn’t someone he should be around. He was the leader of the thieves, the boy shouldn’t be near him, shouldn’t be around him or his thieves. Only fools got themselves caught up with them, or people who had no other choice. Most of the thieves had no choice in becoming a thief, him included. Hopefully though, the boy would go on with his own business, leave La Volpe alone. It didn’t seem likely, though.
"I'm fine" Pet said simply, hesitant for a moment but he decided to follow him. So this strange man knew how to move like that, knew how to become something that he wanted to learn how to be. Maybe if he tried hard enough he could get the older man to show him how. Of course his brothers must never know about this, nor his father. For if they found out he was out by himself even, he'd get in trouble. When following, he'd speak up over the silence. "I want to learn, can you show me? I really do. I haven't been able to make it all the way to the top without using a ladder. I'm not able to climb, am I not strong enough yet?" His voice grew louder and louder, more determined to fix his flaws more than anything right now.
In and out of the alleyways they walked and he was going to be sure to follow the fox like the stray boy he was. His only hope was that the thief didn't go jumping away and hiding like a thief usually would. He'd lift his chin as he walked and continued to follow until he wouldn't be able to anymore.
Petruccio you like flying no? You and Leonardo Da Vinci would get along wonderfully

"Hullo?" Dezzy watches at the taller male with curiosity filled eyes.
" Hi!" Pet waved at the small one and stands there awkwardly, wiggling his fingers.
La Volpe had been following some thieves, though, he stopped a bit away from them, making sure they made their way to the rooftops. They had finished a bit of a job, and the master thief had been watching over them, as he usually did with the younger thieves. Some of them weren’t exactly the best at getting away from the guards, so if need be, he would intercept the guards. I mean, who wouldn’t want to try and catch the leader of the thieves over a lesser thief? All he had to do was get their attention. Yell at them, run in front of them, anything, and they would turn their attention to him, and La Volpe could lead the guards off, letting the lesser thieves escape.
The Fox smirked to himself, satisfied that they got away, and he hadn’t needed to busy himself with anything. Just as he was about to make his way off, a sound caught his attention, from above. The thief looked up, and moved quickly, catching the boy in his arms just in time. “You know, you really shouldn’t be climbing on the rooftops,” he said with a smirk before just chuckling and setting the boy on the ground. “You’re lucky I was around.”
He'd look toward the strange looking man and tried to think of something to say. Pet pointed his finger's toward La Volpe and stood there. " You! do you know how to do that?" Not even a Thank you, though he was he was just too determined and interested on climbing and being brave like the thieves were. While he waited, he backed up and set his hand back down beside him.
"I mean -- that was cool! those thieves running along like that and then jumping on the roof tops! Do you know how to do that?" he went on and on with his words kind of not making sense as he was growing less and less patient. The Auditore desperately wanted to know though, and surely he was just wasting his time being alone and talking to strangers like this one but maybe if he held on to a bit of hope. He barely know who this was, but for some odd reason he felt like he should know. Those bright hazel eyes found that they wondered about the alley ways there were standing in and had not a clue where it was they were exactly. He did not mind being lost though, eventually he found the right path to get back home, not that he wanted to go home any time soon anyway.

Pet was pouting, he wanted to learn things and neither of his family members would teach him. There had to be someone who would have all the time in the world do such a thing -- maybe not.
He'd walk around Florence and sighed, and after so much walking he got bored and decided to make his way toward the sky. Eventually, he climbed up a ladder and made his way on one of the rooftops. He was not allowed to be up here, no one but the guards were allowed to be on the red tile roof tops so they could properly patrol the city but Pet wanted a better look. His legs dangled over the ledge for awhile, swinging them about. He'd narrow his eyes toward some thieves running along on the path below him and smiled to himself. Now there was people who knew how to live and get away with something. Just like his brothers did and how they moved so quickly and were able to slip by with no intention on getting caught and eventually they climbed the roof tops and jumped them. He leaned closer to take a good look but he leaned to far.
Loosing his balance he would soon fall over the ledge of the roof top, screaming, the young Auditore flared his arms about and hoped someone would catch him before he landed the ground and possibly would break something.
And here he was, minding his own business following Cristina from a distance, when someone had the nerve to run into him. Vieri immediately turned on them, raising his voice without considering that it would have given away where he was. “Watch where you’re going—”
A boy, and a somewhat familiar one at that. He’d not really seen the youngest of the Auditore beyond chancing a glance as he passed by the Auditore palazzo. It didn’t make a difference to him, really. That is… until he realized he could use him against Ezio. If Petruccio hadn’t moved away or otherwise shied off, Vieri would try to grab him by his shirt and pull him a bit closer as he sneered. “You’re that Auditore boy, aren’t you?” Ezio—and Federico—was protective of his siblings and, well, he knew it would really burn the bastard up if he were to beat the little brat around. That and it would teach him to look where he was going!
He had to be brave, like his brothers, he just HAD to be. Otherwise, he would come off as the weakest sibling and hold on to the title. He hated being the youngest and he hated when people thought that he was weak because of it. Except ,he did need a lot more practice with things and he needed more training. Only he just wished that he could be able to punch Pazzi in the face and get away with it. Make his lip bleed and run away as fast as he could. Except now, Petruccio stared at the other and nodded. " It's Pertuccio. you stupida testa"
-- Careful, Pet. He didn't know how to pick his fights, or fight in general. There was no need for foolish name calling but what is a young boy to do? he learned from his brothers mostly, but it was no wonder his mother always ordered for him to stay in his room. For some of the stuff Ezio and Fed got themselves into were not the best thing for a young man like himself to be involved in. Here he was though, facing a 'dangerous' threat to his family without giving it too much of a thought.

“…When a what? “

"A nightmare eh? And what was it about?" Fed sighed, guiding the younger one back to his bedroom. "Talking about it would help" he added, almost as an afterthought.
He was guiding back into his room and sighed, he hated being cooped up inside. Though it would be the same outcome with his mother and possibly worse if his father saw him out of bed this hour.
“Well … ” When they were in his room he sat on his bed and sighed. “I was levitating in the air and then I was beginning to fall at a very very tall height and I couldn’t stop myself from falling. It was scary! I wanted you or Ezio to save me but I woke up before I hitthe ground..”
He’d look saddened. “Before I fell there were buildings I could of reached out to but my arms weren’t long enough..”
Petruccio! I can't wait till you become an assassin. You will be wonderful!
“…… I- … what?”
"Petruccio-fratello mio-what are you doing out of bed this early?" Federico asked, ruffling his younger brother's hair [[asdfghjkl thank you so much for the follow!]]
He’d sigh, it was early, possibly before sun rise. He’d looked toward his brother and yawned but he did have a reason. “I had a nightmare” He said sadly and shivered at the memory.
stay innocent forever please don't be like your brothers
"I can be whoever and however I want! Well, after I study first"
He snapped to attention at the cry, eyes locking on his younger brother, before bolting the little distance between them to take hold of him in a protective embrace. “What happened?” His glare darted around for any immediate threat, Ezio standing to place himself at the front of possible danger. “Who’s after you? Tell me,” he smacked an eager fist into his palm, “and I’ll deal with them swiftly.”
"Well I was-"
Oh, well he might get in trouble for this, but Ezio did ask and he had to tell him the truth, right?
"No one's after me! -- ...I was out of my room taking a walk by myself and ..." He took a breath and casually continued. " Well - I was following this bird." Of course he was " and I wanted to get a better look at it but it wound up going in alley ways and I got lost and scared." There you have it, the truth. He felt a bit stupid and ashamed after explaining it out loud. It was a far more scarier experience than what words could describe. He'd frowned a bit and looked up toward his older brother with a shameful face. He waited for a bit, and narrowed his eyes before letting his breath catch up to him.
"I want to learn to be brave, brother."

Maybe it was best to just turn around the other way and go home. Only, which way was home? Could it be to the west? through those alley ways on the right or left? Take the dark path home or the light? He was so frightened that he had gotten himself lost. His older brothers would just take the roof tops back over toward their house but he didn't even know where to start. He'd look toward some barrels and began to climb on them. then jumped toward one of the near by steps to begin his way toward a window pane. Sadly, he was not tall enough to even reach the third step and wimped out when realizing of the strength he had to have in his legs in order to lift him self and keep himself balanced on the bars.
He jumped, fell on his knee and scrapped it up and the scar soon bled instantly. "Ow! ouch." Auditore got up from where he fell and brushed himself off. Deciding to bravely face the darkness of the alley ways only to soon bump into someone while he was not paying attention. This someone, however, was instantly recognized. Crap. He knew very little of him, but only that he was rude and mean and cruel and not so nice the last time he remembered. He found that they shared eye contact for a brief while and Petruccio had absolutely no idea what to say. Backing up and keeping a glared expression toward Viere's direction.
Though Pet shouldn't be so angry and upset with someone he barely knew. Besides, it wasn't the older man's fault he tried to climb and didn't succeed and now has a scratch on his knee, but it was nice to put the blame on someone but himself right? so why not Pazzi?
Salai admired himself, as he was wont to do, in front of the mirror before him. The doublet was nice and he wondered briefly if he would have the patience to ask Leonardo to buy it for him or if he should just use the day’s “earnings” himself. His thoughts were soon interrupted by a light push on his arm.
Incredulous, Salai turned to look at the boy who was not very much younger than him. Placing his hands on his hips, he glared at the other boy. ”There’s room, yes, but none for rude children.” He crossed his arms and was silent for a beat before saying, “Well? Are you going to apologize or not?”
"...but I'm not going to be a child for long! I'm fifteen!" He said almost angrily but he'd narrow his eyes and stepped back in front of the mirror. As if it mattered how old he was. It was not like this weird looking boy was going to care much about him anyway. Pulling down the hat on his head, it became a little big too big the longer he wore it. Eventually falling in front of his eyes and he couldn't see for a brief period of seconds. Feeling around with his hands and putting them on the sleeve of the other's.
".....?" He'd reach up to pull the hat off his forehead and looked at Salai. "What am I going to apologize for? For you taking up room? " He shouldn't be talking to strangers.
