People have been trying to understand tumblr since the beginning of tumblr time. The only ones closest to understanding it are the ones who know it can never be understood.
Take Caitlin, for example. The object of Goncharov is not to be made into digestible and marketable media, whether that be film or games or literature. Tumblr isn't made to be digestible and marketable. I know I am not speaking only for myself when I say that no one who has seen Goncharov wants to see Goncharov. It's already a reality.

The reason why I first thought Goncharov was real, wasn't because of the cast or the poster or the extensive cinematography analysis...It was because the posts that waxed poetic about the homoerotic subtext were higher on the trending page than those that actually explained the plot.

personal opinion but. the reason tiktok’s ‘zepotha’ isn’t doing great isn’t because of a lack of cohesion or poor reasoning behind it (although I’m sure these would’ve contributed). It’s because when I was first introduced to Zepotha it was as a fake movie concept. And when I was first introduced to Goncharov it was as me spending the entire morning trying to figure out why Tumblr was obsessed with some random movie.
