"I will protect you with my life" Logicality pleaseeeee argh and when you write Logicality can you please tag me im a logicality addict lol
here ya go! i decided to use my “royal au” (in which patton is a prince and logan is a knight) because of how well it fit. by the way, would you like me to add you to the taglist? i can totally do that if you want me to (:
__
title: Before Dawn
au: royal au
characters: Patton, Logan
pairings: logicality
warnings: none i can think of
words: 589
__
summary: Patton knows Logan is devoted, but he hadn’t realized the extent of his devotion until now.
Patton was awake earlier than usual. The young prince had opened his eyes when the sky was still dark, and had been unable to sleep since. He kept busy by losing himself in thought, humming softly to himself.
After some time, when the black sky had just begun to lighten, Patton could faintly make out the sound of horse hooves. He sat up and looked out the window. The silhouette of a tall person on horseback was making its way toward the castle. Delighted, Patton poked his head out the window. The figure came fully into view. Their face was covered by a knight’s helmet, but Patton knew who it was immediately.
“Logan!” he greeted. The other man reached the window, dismounted his horse and lifted the visor of his helmet. Patton happily planted a kiss on his cheek. “You’re early.”
“On the contrary, my dear,” Logan replied. “I am right on time. You’re the one who’s early.”
“On time?” Patton echoed. “Are you usually here so early in the morning?”
Logan nodded. “It is my job, after all.”
Patton tilted his head to one side. “It is?”
“Well, yes, technically. My job is to protect you, no matter what.”
Patton raised his eyebrows in concern. “Still. You don’t need to feel obligated to wake up this early just to look after me. It’s sweet, but I want you to take care of yourself too.”
“I understand what you’re saying. However, my desire to protect you overpowers my need for such frivolous things as sleep.”
“That’s now how it works, Lo. My safety isn’t worth your well-being.”
“But it is. Aside from you being the heir to the throne, you are also the most important person to me.”
“But you’re risking a healthy sleep schedule just for me.”
“I am willing to risk that and more. I will protect you with my life.”
Patton couldn’t help but smile, before resuming his stern expression. “That’s very sweet of you to say, but I don’t like knowing that you’re up before dawn every single day.”
“You were awake before dawn, too,” Logan pointed out.
“I was today, but not every day.” Patton rested one hand on Logan’s cheek. “Please, promise me you won’t come until after the sun rises, at least. And don’t think I won’t know if you get here early. I have my ways.”
Logan hesitated, then nodded. “Fine. That sounds fair.” His shoulders sank slightly. “I apologize for worrying you.”
“Oh, don’t apologize!” Patton exclaimed. “It’s sweet of you to worry me. But I care about you, and I want you to take as good care of yourself as you do of me. Does that make sense?”
“Yes.”
“Good.” Patton pressed a quick kiss to Logan’s forehead. The knight seldom smiled, but Patton could have sworn he saw the corners of his mouth twitching upward. He lowered his visor, tugged his horse’s reins, and began leading her to his usual spot. Patton knew the morning routine by heart: Logan would stand guard until, like clockwork, a servant would be sent to notify Patton of breakfast being ready. But before the knight reached his post, Patton called out to him again.
“Logan?”
Logan once again lifted his visor. “Yes?”
“Thank you. For protecting me, I mean.”
“As I said, it is my job.”
“Still.” Patton smiled at him affectionately, his way of letting Logan know that he wasn’t upset at him. “Thank you.”
Logan nodded, and a small, subtle smile crossed his face and melted Patton’s heart.. “My pleasure.”

Roman: Is Virgil home? I’d like to take him on a date.
Logan: To associate with my son, you must complete these qualification forms.
*hours later*
Logan: What did you get for question 319?
Roman: C) Lure the space tiger away from Virgil by imitating a chicken strip.
Patton and Logan, nodding their heads: Impressive.
Okay I LOVE THE IDEA THAT BOTH LOGAN AND PATTON HAS QUALIFICATION FORMS FOR SUITORS OF VIRGIL FJDNSBSBBABSJAJSJJB I gotta have that when i bear a child.
85: “It was just a dream. I’m not gone, I’m right here.” Logicality
Patton awoke to the sound of crying.
His first thought was Thomas but it was too deep to be him, his second thought was Virgil but it was too close to be him.
Eventually, after he had pulled himself out of the grasp of sleep, he realised that it was Logan.
That startled him because Logan didn’t cry very often. “Honeybee,” Patton mumbled sleepily, pulling Logan closer to him. “S’matter?”
“Sorry, Patton,” Logan said. “I didn’t mean to disturb you. Go back to sleep.”
“Can’t do that when my love is sad,” Patton said, nuzzling his face in the crook of Logan’s neck. “What is it?”
“I’m being ridiculous,” Logan said. “I had a bad dream, that’s all. It’s nothing to cry about.”
“You wouldn’t say one of the kids was being silly if they were crying over a bad dream,” Patton pointed out.
He wouldn’t, either. Logan was a good dad, the very best, and Patton swore he fell in love with him more and more each time he interacted with their sons.
“But I’m a grown man.”
“Doesn’t matter, Lo.” Patton said. “Nightmares are scary, and the way your body reacts to them is completely normal.”
He couldn’t see without his glasses or in the dark, but he didn’t have to to know that Logan was facing him, hanging onto his every word.
“I... I was back home,” Logan said, “as in I was back with my parents. They did something to you, and then they took you away, and I didn’t see you again, and...” he took a deep shuddering breath. “You were gone, from me, forever.”
“Aww, Honeybee.” Patton said, placing a featherlight kiss to Logan’s cheek. “It was just a dream. I’m not gone, I’m right here.”
“I know that,” Logan said, “but I can’t help but wonder what if something does happen to you? What would I do? I couldn’t- I need you.”
“Logan, sweetheart,” Patton said, he could sense that Logan was going to start spiralling if he didn’t stop it. “I’m here, I’m okay, and I’m not going anywhere.”
“You don’t know that.”
“No, but I know that I love you,” Patton said, “and there’s nothing on earth, in hell or heaven, that could ever keep me away from you.”
Oh goodness gracious
OH MY GOD FKJDKSJJSKSJSI
One of the biggest power moves I have here in the midwest when someone is being racist, sexist, homophobic is that I tell them that I’ll pray for them so that god can grace them with empathy, or that “I feel sorry the devil has made his home in your heart” cause you have not felt joy until you’ve flipped the script on a suburban house mom or an old racist white man. The joy of watching their face in shock and confusion while they’re called out in Christian Standards the same way they try to cover for their homophobia is amazing. 100% suggest it, at the very least it gets them to shut the fuck up.
Good Christian Hacks, an open-ended series
Works wonders in the South, too.
And if they start to stutter and quote some cherry-picked Bible verse at you, come back at them with “yes, even the Devil can quote scripture, but that doesn’t mean he understands it. I’ll pray for God to grant you understanding in the fullness of His word.”
22. “It’s just a fever, I’ll be fine.” With Logan and patton, Patton being the one ill, only if you want to! Thank you :)
“And just where do you think you’re going?” Logan said, blocking the front door as his husband tried to sneak out.
“Work,” Patton sniffled. “There’s a hurt kitty.”
“And there are plenty of other more than capable vets to help,” Logan said. “You’d be of no use to anyone right now. Back to bed.”
“I wanna help,” Patton whined.
“You’re unwell.”
“It’s just a fever, I’ll be fine.” Patton said weakly.
Logan looked him over; he was pale with flushed cheeks, his hair was stuck to his forehead, and his eyes were watery behind his glasses. “You’ve got gloves on your feet.” Logan noted.
Patton glanced downwards, and saw that he had indeed put his gloves on his feet and his socks on his hands. “Lo?”
“Yes?”
“I don’t think I should go to work today,” Patton said.
“Good idea, Honeybee. I wish I had thought of it myself.” Logan said, before he sent Patton back upstairs and into bed to rest.
THIS IS SO FUCKING CUTE RUKDHEJEIEHWKHJJSJANABSJA
Actually life is beautiful because the sound I make while trying to breathe around hot food sounds like my dog trying to eat an apple. When I yawn my cat tries to put his face in my mouth like a little dentist man and when he yawns I put my finger in his obligate-carnivore trapzone and we both know he will not hurt me. When I do not fold my clothes, they do not hold it against me.
I am demonstrably sad, and lonely, and full of fear. But there are other people who will hold my hand, who will point out the hawk overhead, who will give you That Look in a public place. The other day at a coffee shop a child said "look! It's snowing!" so all of us strangers went to go look out the windows. It wasn't the first snow and it won't be the last but wasn't it lovely, like that?
How wonderful to live in a world where birds and frogs both say beep! How wonderful to have an ocean of beautiful sharks with their dinosaur teeth! How wonderful the moon and her changing face, how wonderful the bees and their dancing to communicate, how wonderful shrimp and their forbidden layers of vision! How wonderful, you, and what you will give the world! The way we love things enough to spend entire blogs devoted to them? How people will let me explain my Pokemon team to them? How we will both jump at the scare in the movie, how we laugh so loudly, how it feels to give someone your baking? How wonderful to be alive. I am sorry for forgetting.
This is the process of getting better. With wonderful people and wonderful strangers and wonderful friends: I am getting better, slowly. Thank you, whoever you are. In some way, you've been wonderful, and left a wonderful place in the world to ripple out to me. In some small way - isn't it beautiful - I promise, you've been helping.
"How wonderful to be alive. I am sorry for forgetting."
here's a transcript:
>walking home from a party late one evening >several guys were following me, as my drunk ass managed to piss them off by existing >try to walk faster, to no avail, as I'm drunk as shit >catch me in some random student neighbourhood >oh shit, my ass is about to be beaten >still in talking phase >lights flick on in a house >three guys in full musketeer garb walk out >leader is some blond guy with a beard, eyepatch, and some weird-ass accent >"What sort of ruffians would be accosting someone outside our residence? Stand and deliver!" >guys start yelling at them to fuck off, that I deserved to get my ass beaten >"Very well, then. Draw steel, you blackguard!" >all three of them draw rapiers on their belts >guys run >"I know not why those foul men sought your harm, but come and tell us the tale, stranger!" >spend remainder of evening drinking mulled wine with lunatics >bunch of Swedish re-enactors live there >blond guy is actually missing an eye; lost it in an machine shop accident >stagger home completely drunk with a hat
I had no idea people like that existed. Or had the money to rent a house.
in addition to two comments reading "FUCKING EPIC" and "THIS A THOUSAND TIMES THIS" op elaborated further in another post:
Holy shit, is this still being posted?
I figure I owe /tg/ a bit of an update on these guys.
Their leader, O he of one eye and little common sense, nearly had his visa revoked for these kinds of shenanigans. One too many arrests meant that his right to stay in the country was contested, and he had to go to court to defend himself and prevent his visa from being revoked.
I was his ride to court, and had to testify to the board that he shouldn't be deported for lack of common sense or social normality.
His defense? A written speech, about three pages long, about the rights of man, the education he has received here, and the opportunities for a one-eyed machinist. The spirit of his crimes were all in defense of people who would otherwise suffer. For other witnesses, he had some of the random people he'd helped out, including one memorable point where a woman, nearly on the verge of tears, pointed out how he'd taken on a guy threatening to rape her and carrying a knife by whipping out a fencing saber, disarming him, and mocking him in his thick Swedish accent so that the girl could call the cops. Something like a dozen people all showed up, explaining how this dude, despite his eccentricities, made the country better.
He was not deported, and lives here to this very day, stalking the streets in musketeer garb, rescuing drunks, and dispensing his own brand of justice.
The superhero we deserve
All for one and one for all gents.
Sander Sides If they weren't played by Thomas in a dream cast
Jack mcbrayer as Patton
Keith Habesburger as Logan
Cole Sprouse as Virgil
Jonathan Groff as Roman
John Mulany as Janus
Robert Sheenan as Remus
Anyone else have ideas for who could play the sides well? Obviously Thomas is the MASTER of embodying all of them, but it's fun to think about.
I feel so fucking attacked. Just finished how I met your mother and I'm on season 8 on Friends.....fuck
I wonder what Christian meme groups are like. I mean some Christians have the biggest victim complexes in the world and if you couple that with first person perspective memes, you’d probably get memes like:
Oh thank fuck it is my time to shine
These are all from a Christian meme group that I joined for some reason but fell in love with
I’ve been consuming Christian memes since I was about fourteen and they’re all like this. Also:
May I add:
ok i spent hours looking through christian discord servers for these
Some personal favorites I’ve encountered
I’m not sure if any of these count as blasphemy exactly but happy sunday yall.
This goes so well with what my mother says.
‘God has to have a sense of humor or else he wouldn’t have created us.”
Listen I know I’m Jewish but this shit is too fucking funny for me not to reblog
I just can’t wait for when the bible gets translated into memes. I probably wouldn’t go back to Catholicism, but I’ll have a good time.
