When anyone in the Silmarillion interacts with Annatar:
I have always imagined the moment when Sauron returns from Melkor after the disaster in Tol in Gaurhoth. Tolkien doesn't describe it and that leaves room for imagination...
Morgoth receives Sauron with a simple look of pity saying to him: "Look how you've reduced yourself..."π€£
(Since the Valars chose their physical form (fana) based on their spiritual nature, I think Melkor retained a noble form, similar to that of his brothers (like Manwe), but distorted by a lack of empathy and a ghostly beauty absent in others.)
'golden flower' - oil on canvas, 2023
A little about the painting: i drew this one after i first read about him in The Silmarilion (of course i knew him in LOTR before) and i was inspired by his death. I mean, being killed by being pulled down by his hair is something that i found quite irritated at that time π . So i want my dude to rest in peace, surrounded with flower and green (i was biased, i know. I was in love with him after reading LOTR) π
I wish i have more time to make more oil painting π₯²
βIndeed I begin to think that Elves and Men should not meet or meddle.β
TΓΊrin said nothing, but looked long in Belegβs face, as if he would read in it the riddle of his words.
Nellas of Doriath never saw him again, and his shadow passed from her.
