There's a trick that Marxists and other statists use to try to discredit anarchism and it involves denying anarchism's socialist origins. Like when they say anarchism rejects class struggle and then immediately beg the question by saying the anarchists past and present who've emphasized class struggle were actually Marxists, moving toward Marxism, or were advocating a "synthesis" of anarchism and Marxism.
