So, I don’t really do much on this tumblr anymore. I might pop on every so often to reblog stuff, but don’t expect any more art, writings, personal stuff, etc. I have another tumblr though, but I will not be giving it out due it being 18+. I’ll leave it at that as I’ve seen the things I like be mercilessly shat on. Ppl have been dragged through the mud, called awful names/slurs, treated horribly, stalked and shunned, simply because the other person didn’t like the same things.

And I don’t want to be apart of that, nor do I wish to make anyone uncomfortable. So, I made a new tumblr where I can chill with similar fans and to be honest, it’s been an absolute blast.

If you’re into the fandoms I am, then you might be able to find me and we can legit hang out there, but seriously only if you’re 18+ because I am not fucking around with that. I do art and write fics and I’ve gotten incrementally better at it.

Infinity War is going to be interesting because this movie is a solid decade in the making with a cast of every single person in the world. I’ve never seen a film with this many moving parts going into it. I’m genuinely not sure what the good version of this movie looks like. I have several guesses for what a bad version looks like but I literally cannot conceive what I ideally want to happen in a successful Infinity War Part One and Two. Besides absolutely fucking wild character combos, I do know that, I do need Pepper Potts, Gamora, and Heimdall to have a conversation about Asgardian refugees, I do need Loki to spend the entire time dodging literally every single person who was in the original Avengers, I do need Valkyrie trying very hard to seduce the entirity of the Dora Milaje one by one and with a pretty good success rate, I do do do very much need Sam Wilson taking selfies with every fucking alien he can get his hands on

I’ll never get over the amalgamates getting to go back home to their families in True Pacifist. I’m so, so used to stories that go, “this person is too broken, physically or mentally or both, to ever be put back together. they’re not the way they once were, so they’re good as dead. killing them is the only act of mercy.“

I’m so glad Undertale didn’t do that.

The True Lab intentionally plays on horror tropes. Phantasmal pursuers whose ability to appear and disappear defy logical attempts at evasion. Mutated, undead shambling creatures whose original selves are utterly destroyed.

But…like the rest of Undertale’s relationship to RPG tropes…subversion occurs.

It becomes increasingly clear that the amalgamates aren’t evil ghosts or mindless zombies. They’re victims of medical malpractice who miss their families. And when we find them returned to their families…they’re happy. Their families are happy. Things are different now, yea. It’s pretty weird for everyone. The new situation will take some time getting used to. But… it’s mostly good.

PSA about the shape of water

heyyy so. i went into this movie expecting a really cute fishy romance, which it. almost was. but i had no idea there was gonna be extremely graphic, gratuitous violence, a hell of a lot of nudity and sex scenes (one dude literally fucks his wife on screen which was a lot), and a cat gets eaten on screen.

the cat thing was the most upsetting, the rest was just either really awkward or unsettling. but, yeah. i had no idea about any of that, and was kind of unnerved coming out of the film.

please be careful if you plan on seeing this movie. it’s not a bad movie, but i’ll admit i was really put off.

Yeah seriously! It was really really good, but I had a panic attack after the film because it was so stressful, and an employee had to literally hold my hand and lead me out of the theatre step by step, because I had such a bad shutdown …

some weirdo in the tags is saying yall shouldve taken matters into your own hands and read the entire plot on wikipedia, spoilers be damned. so I’m just here to point out that the parents guide section in IMDB is not only helpful for parents. I am a HUGE horror fan but I hate gore. How do I check if a movie has it without getting spoilers for the whole plot? IMDB parental guidance. It tells you every instance of upsetting or gory material in the film. It’s super helpful and I’d highly recommend using it for any R rated movies you’re not sure about. (this goes double for del toro movies bc… they’re all like that)

I’m not bothered by a lot of stuff but echoing the sentiment of checking IMDB, it’s super helpful and generally spoiler free. Remember The Shape of Water is rated R. The same thing happened with Pan’s Labyrinth, ppl complained thinking it was going to be a sweet movie for kids and ppl... it’s rated R for a reason.
