A Very Long List of Discovery Prompts I Can Never Fill
So, I can’t creative write (it’s not my thing, my brain gets really mixed up with all the languages and the words don’t come out right; for this reason, I prefer to create visual art now), but I have a bunch of plot bunnies in my head about Star Trek Discovery that I know the (truly, absolutely, unbelievably) amazing writers of this fandom could do justice. So I am going to post a list of prompts and plot bunnies that I have sort of floating around in my head, and invite you guys to do your own take on them.
So. Here are some one-liners, scenes, lyrics, poems, or whatever else has transported me into that shippery headspace lately that I think could maybe do the same for you, too.
P.s. I really, really bloody appreciate that all of you amazing fanfic writers keep sharing your art with this community and making us feel the feels. Thank you.
Prompts: // *marks the musical addition to the lyrics*
Mirror Georgiou/Katrina Cornwell: You look so fine / I want to break your heart / and give you mine //
Mirror Georgiou/Katrina Cornwell: “Only I can hurt her!” Whether Mirror or Prime Katrina, I leave it up to you.
Prime Lorca/Katrina Cornwell: during the Academy days, when Katrina got anxious, Gabe would read to her. When we find him during season 2 and they have trouble reconnecting because they are both traumatised, this is what helps them reconnect.
Philippa/Katrina/Gabriel: can you fall for the wings of a dove / when the clever wolf is the one you love (what I thought was meant to be is a broken heart weighing down on me) //
Prime and Mirror Katrina and Gabriel, an exploration of alternate universe entanglements: How could something so fair be so cruel (there is grace within forgiveness, but it is so hard for me to find) //
Katrina Cornwell/Philippa Georgiou: “You make me want to be a better person”
Katrina Cornwell/Gabriel Lorca: a portrait of a relationship, through Gabriel’s personal logs (à la @jhelenoftrek)
Katrina Cornwell/Gabriel Lorca: on Lorca’s quest to find his own universe from the mirrorverse, he travels through many others, and gets to see the different versions of himself and Katrina and all the things and ways they can be. “Of all the people I used to be, I miss the one that you loved, the most” (David Jones)
Mirror Philippa Georgiou/Prime Katrina Cornwell: Could it be that I’m the same / Could it be I’m your mirror showing you all those things that you never wanted to face //
Mirror Georgiou/Prime Cornwell: I Think I’ll Dismember The World And Then I’ll Dance In The Wreckage (Neil Gaiman). Katrina is self-destructive due to all the trauma and loss she went through. The Emperor is a perfect enabler for such behaviour.
Michael Burnham/Katrina Cornwell: I know you’ve been going through some things you can’t explain / Baby let me be your vacation //
That’s it for now, I’ll aim to add more as they come to me later. Feel free to add yours, too! (Or to write the stories pretty plz)
