I've been thinking about Bruce Wayne lately... Not like silly haha batdad, but like Bruce Wayne with OCD, PTSD, moderate depression and dissociative traits, as well as probably on the spectrum. Who canonically tried to kill himself.

anyways Leslie needs Bruce to be normal because she cannot handle the stress nor does she have the consistent patience and compassion needed to (healthily, safety, kindly) love someone who is severely mentally ill and she would rather he somehow fix himself than put in the work to understand and accept him

this is why she can professionally extend patience and compassion her patients while simultaneously holding Bruce in contempt

Bruce's need for perfect control because a) he assumes anything bad that happens to people is his fault (he should have protected them) and b) he views himself, Bruce, as fundamentally weak due to his feelings at the point of his parents murder which he never fully came to turn with is so juicy to me
