Daily reminder that Iroh II doesn't have a canon age and the Wiki pulled the age they use from an episode commentary about a joke from a scrapped storyline, where Mako was speculating Iroh's age "what? He's like 36!" and that contradicts Asami ("I'm 29, wait how old are you?") and Mako's ("19!") canon ages (both 18).

Iroh's whatever age you want him to be.

okay sometimes i see posts like "zuko and suki headcanons!! *proceeds to describe mai and zuko's canon relationship*" and i can't exactly articulate why this irks me but it's very off-putting

Really hope I did the ID thing for screen readers right if I didn't let me know I've never done one before! Anyways, I haven't participated in Maiko week before, and seeing as I had time I figured I'd at least try. Not sure if I'll get to all of the prompts but I'm gonna try my best. These two are my favorite couple ever in I seriously love them.

Happy Maiko week! Thank you so much to @maikoweek for hosting. Here we have little Mai trying to use makeup to impress Zuko, and little Azula blowing up her plans.

Zuko looks a bit older than I intended but that’s because I literally don’t know how to draw children of different ages. That’s my bad

ayo i have smth maybe controversial to say ab zukka. for years zutara has been getting shit bc ppl didnt know how to act right and wld write slave fics, imperialist bullshit which is fair and rightful. but a lot of yall are doing the same thing to zukka. u cant claim to hate zutara on the grounds of ‘shippers are weird’ (which again!!! fair claim!! bc ive seen the worst of it - i KNOW), but then do the SAME EXACT THING w zukka!!! heads up!!!!! the imperialist connotations surrounding sokka becoming a fire prince/lord only is the same w firelady!katara. the slave fics, the abandonment of his culture, etc. is just as bad when its zukka. just bc its ~gay~ doesnt take that away.

tldr; if u cant create zukka content without being an asshole dont.

Edit: As pointed out by anon, I have to clarify something. The forehead markings on Azula and Izumi are not bindis from India. They’re huadian from China and there for purely decorative purposes.
