All amazing points and so important to take in. I think I have done a couple of these, but not habitually or intensely. But it's good awareness for me.
most goyim hear “the vast majority of jews are zionists” and translate that to “the vast majority of jews are evil colonizers and genocidal maniacs” rather than the true meaning of that statement which is “zionism is a complex and multifaceted concept that every jew has a unique relationship with and it cannot be distilled into a single slogan-length description”
If you hear "the vast majority of Jews are zionists" and default to "well then the vast majority of Jews are colonizing pedophile degenerates" and not "oh maybe I don't actually know what 'zionist' means", then idk! I think antisemitism might be in play there!
can someone please please tell me how to sew a ripped backpack strap.

I've got you ;)
Materials:
thread that matches your project well
Needles
E600 glue (best one. Do not substitute superglue. Needs to dry soft)
Lighter (only use if you're certain its synthetic fabric that will melt)
Step 1: seal frayed edges
Lighter: bring it just close enough for the severed threads to bead at the end, but not close enough to form a lump. If you smell burning, stop immediately. There is the risk of fire. If you are a minor, have an adult help. Do not touch hot plastics until you are absolutely certain they have cooled.
Other way: E600 glue
Put a little on your finger, then rub the wet glue against the fibers. Be careful to only get any on the very ends of the fabric where it would fray. You want it to look like the third picture.
You can also smoosh the glued bits together like this, to guide your stitches.
Step 2: anchor stitches
Give your needle a long tail (lots of thread on the short side). Give your anchor knot a long tail, and double knot it too. Anchor your knot close to the side and close to the cut. Be sure it fastens to the outer edge instead of inside the cut.
Next steps in next reblog. Can't put enough pics in one post.
Step 3: chain stitch
In one side, without pulling all your thread. Out the other side, then loop your needle through the first side's anchored thread. You'll have a knot when you pull it tight. To pull it as tight as you can, tug your thread and pull your hand side-to-side like a dog plays tug-of-war.
Tug tug.
This is how you want it to look in the end. Stitches as close to each other as you can get them without overlapping. Always put your chain on the less-viewed side: here, it's the dark brown side. Almost invisible with same color thread, especially if you keep your stitches even, but it'll leave a visible bump.
Step 4: tie off the ends, and hide the threads
Last step is to tie off the end, then hide your thread ends. This is what you saved the tails for. Once you've got the tails on your needle, you weave them into the fabric and snip the end. Since the ends aren't holding anything together, they won't pull loose.
Now, just tug gently at either side. If anything comes apart, you'll need better reinforcements.
Forgot to mention, but the stronger your thread, the better. Coat maker's thread may be too wide for this, so if you can find it in the right color, go for button thread. But any thread you struggle to break with two hands will work. Weak thread can be made stronger by pulling the tails to equal length, and sewing with two threads at once.
If you have beeswax, you can wax the thread for smoothness and durability! I have a special thread wax container that makes pulling it against wax easy, but you don’t need one. Just hold the thread to a lump of wax with your finger and pull to coat the thread.
One thing I will always appreciate Fullmetal Alchemist for is the fact that they let Roy Mustang be complicit in genocide.
Mustang is an Atoner figure. Something that plagues Atoner figures is when writers are too precious about the characters we're meant to like to actually let them be guilty of something serious.
The Atoner might be trying to make amends for their involvement in the Great '87 Hotel Massacre, and then three seasons in you find out what happened. And it's like, "I drove a taxi to the hotel, and the KILLER was in it! I ferried the killer to the hotel! That makes me responsible, and now I must atone for being nearby while the killings took place! And also vanquish the real killer who is the villain for this season."
Or maybe the Atoner did do the killings but they were under mind control the whole time and would never, ever have done it in their right mind.
But FMA said no. Mustang, Hawkeye, Hughes, even Armstrong to an extent though he suffered a breakdown and fled during it. They did that shit. They followed their orders and they did that shit. And it haunts them.
Roy did that shit. And his atonement, his grand ambition, is to see everyone responsible for that shit brought to justice for their crimes. Including himself.
That is how you write an atonement plot.

How to Solve a Murder and Incite a Rebellion by Kastaborous
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
In unearthing the Nomu Factory, the Heroes and police of Japan discovered a body. This was not unexpected, but the nationality and uniform of the corpse in question… that was. Because this failed Nomu wore the uniform of Amestris, a war torn nation from the isolated continent of Atossa, where Quirks and modern electronics had never developed and never worked.
Edward Elric hoped he could retire from military service in peace, traveling Amestris while his brother Alphonse went to Xing. This is put on hold when now-Fuhrer Mustang asks him to travel to the Outside, to the world beyond that was barricaded for centuries after the development of something called ‘Quirks’. A soldier has been killed and Amestris needs to know more about the Outside.
…
Or, Edward Elric and Amestris meet the greater world of Heroes and Villains. It remains to be seen who’s more traumatized by the encounter.

You walk into a bar and the bartender asks if you want a "manga/BH Ed becomes so viscerally nauseous at the mere idea of digging up what he believes to be his mom's corpse that he throws up multiple times" or an "03 Ed fights his tears and apologizes over and over as he forces himself to desecrate his mom's grave and retrieve a piece of her body"
Instead you ask for the "03 Ed passes out from seeing a corpse because it reminds him so much of the mutilated body he and Al created just a few months ago" special because that drink is unironically light by comparison
Realistically, you should walk tf out and call the health inspector to have that bar shut down for offering you such a lethal amount of angst—
