I actually think Ryan and Laura's relationship is super interesting and it makes me sad it's always caught in discourse over a "romance" that is clearly not meant to be. Like they are truly unstoppable force meets immovable object. Two sides of the same coin. The shoulder angel and devil debating whether to kill Chris Hackett. I'm intrigued.

I think it's only just dawning on me how important Jacob and Kaitlyn's friendship is to me, because seeing hot-guy-attracted-to-women/hot-girl-attracted-to-men friendship representation? Where there's no hint of them wanting to date each other? Where they can be like "yeah, we used to practice kissing but there's nothing there" and the characters and narrative around them believe them and don't try to force it to be more than it is? Fuuuuuck, can we get more of that so we can start deprogramming the deep, deep distrust baked into straight culture
