...So particle physics is like a dating website without any photos! You can see extensive profiles of the different particles with mind-bogglingly accurate measurements, deep analysis, laws and predictions, but you will never see an actual photo and you will never be able to contact them!
Imagine having all the data about a person but never being able to look at their face. Imagine falling in love with someone you’ve never seen. Then just add some suicidal maths and voilà, you are a particle physicist/quantum theorist.
