You genuinely need to die
Calling real human people “just a moment in time” to shill for a corporation is one of the evilest things I have heard in my fucking life. You think Jackie Robinson is more “disposable and replaceable” than the 57th attempt at making the Washington Senators.
Viivi Vainikka wrestling with Brynäs teammate Lara Stadler.
If these refs don't get their acts together im gonna lose it.
If these refs don't get their acts together im gonna lose it.
Jonathan Ross is still avoiding accountability months after he shot and killed Renee Good.
Collins is gone.
Namaygoosisagagun First Nation/Collins has burned to the ground. The entire community is nothing but ashes after being quickly consumed by wildfires. They did not have any support from emergency services, and no one offered aid. The community saved themselves by escaping into boats because no one came.
Mishkeegogamang and Cat Lake have lost power. Families are ending up in shelters with nothing. Armstrong, Lac La Croix, Whitesand, Gull Bay, Lac des Mille Lacs are currently in the fires path and all members are being evacuated.
All this loss, all this devastation, and it was entirely preventable.
After steadily underfunding wildland firefighting and purposefully excluding Indigenous wildland firefighters and Indigenous wildfire organizations from wildfire operations, firefighter training, decisionmaking, and resource exchanges, in 2025, Doug Ford slashed the forest firefighting budget.
It's hard to ignore his decision to cut funding and leave us out of adequate fire training (even though we've lived with forest fires for thousands of years—far longer than settlers have been in Canada—and made sure fires like the ones we're all seeing today were prevented through kinisitotēn) when, despite making up less than 5% of the population, we account for 42% percent of all wildfire evacuations in Canada.
And when we are successfully evacuated, we face discrimination and racism—like Kashechewan—because it's always been easier to blame us than it is to blame the true culprit: denialism, corportate greed, and colonization.
The people of Collins and every other impacted community deserve better.
Right now, the AFN is currently accepting donations to help Collins First Nation. If you're able to, please consider donating.
ONWA (Ontario Native Women's Association) is another great place to donate to. They have outreach vans going to motels and inns and offering food, water, resources, and cultural support to those impacted by the wildfires.
Other places to consider donating to are Mikinakoos Emergency Fund, Red Cross, True North Aid, Indigenous Climate Action. You can also send donations directly to Whitesand First Nation via e-transfer ([email protected]) and they request that you add your full name in the e-transfer comment section to receive a tax receipt.
*Before sending money, verify that the appeal appears on an official First Nation, Tribal Council or registered charity channel.
If you can't offer financial support, please consider donating items of need. Moontime Connections is currently accepting drop-off donations. If you live in the Thunder Bay area, Namaygoosisagagun Health Office is also taking in donations! They can also bemailed to Superior Inn Hotel & Conference Centre at 555 West Arthur Street, Thunder Bay, ON, P7E 5P8.
items needed are: food, diapers, medical masks, men’s and women’s joggers (all sizes), children’s clothing (newborn to size 14), children’s shoes, summer clothing, men’s clothing, toiletries (lotion, Vaseline, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, etc.), strollers, adult depends-all sizes, dog & cat food

heartbreaking: this heated rivalry fic author has no idea how hockey works
warm up doesn't end with them starting the game....
it's alternate captain NOT assistant captain!
there is nothing in the world that a player could do to "break a goalpost" and they also can't "stomp on a puck and split it in half"
NHL teams are not sharing a tunnel!!!!
ILYA ROZANOV AND SHANE HOLLANDER ARE NOT GETTING SENT DOWN TO THE MINORS NO MATTER HOW GAY THEY ARE!!!!
i don't care that it's the all star game they are NOT UP BY SEVEN!!!!!!!!!
THE TEAM CAPTAINS DO NOT RUN PRACTICE THE COACHES DO!!!!!!!
There is no extended break around Christmas!!!!
ROOKIES ARE NOT MAKING "MORE MONEY THAN THEY EVER IMAGINED" BECAUSE 1) THEY DID NOT STUMBLE INTO THE NHL THEY HAVE BEEN DREAMING ABOUT THIS THEIR ENTIRE LIVES 2) ELCs START AT 750K A YEAR, THAT IS A LOT OF MONEY YES, BUT ALSO THAT IS AN IMAGINABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY, EVEN IF THEY GET A CHUNKY FIRST CONTRACT THAT IS STILL AN IMAGINABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY!!!!!
If Taylor Heise ever really wants her social media to kick off she's gonna have to learn to keep her basketball flop fiance out of those pictures.
It's like when someone constantly shows off their ugly baby.
Sis I adore you. That is a human meatball.
minnesota dropping curl and then immediately signing viivi vainikka (a gender non conforming lesbian who's had top surgery) is interesting. they had better treat her well or else.
**unclear if viivi uses other pronouns but will adjust accordingly if/when we know more! but the rest of this info is from following viivi on insta and observation lol
For giggles, I did the "What percentage of this draft was from Minnesota." Except I decided to just track where everyone was from:
Apologies in advance for not breaking the European countries down into smaller geographic units but that requires a deeper dive.
But once again the state of hockey shows up to the draft with ten players claiming a Minnesota hometown. Ontario also ties for most with ten. (Though this is where I point out the population of Ontario is nearly three times that of Minnesota! So y'know, per capita... ;) ) that means they contributed 13.9% of players each.
British Columbia and Alberta with good showings at 6 and 5.
i may go thru and do a similar one for schools, but not tonight.
Bonus country breakdown:
I have had them for 5 hours and if anything happened to them....
Congratulations to Kelly Pannek and Taylor Heise for making the First Team All-Star Team in the 2026 PWHL Awards!
in a twist nobody saw coming attaching your happiness to a sports team is terrible for your mental health
thanks to the beautiful process known as expansion now you won't even be safe from despair in the off season
Damn, good for vegas.
Current Roster Lists
This list will be updated as we get confirmations on signings. This was mostly made for my personal reference but please feel free to tell me if you see an error.
As of June 15, Phase 4 is over and these are your PWHL teams. Note, I am updating this as announcements are made, but I will not reblog until the end of each phase.
Update: added coaches/GMs and also contracted salary estimates (CSE) based on the data released by the PWHLPA for the 2025-2026 season. These are estimates ONLY as we do not know what the re-signed players received in salary or what the new expansion contracts look like, except that they have to be more than their previous salary or 80k depending on the contract type. ASSUME THESE ESTIMATES ARE LOWER THAN THE ACTUAL NUMBER, AND ALSO THAT THE EXPANSION TEAM ESTIMATES ARE WILDLY OFF OKAY?
Bolded players are protections or EFO signings. Struck through names have signed with another team and will be removed at the start of the next phase.
